Can you fill in the gaps

United States PPV money is good chunk, but not all the money. The undercard on ESPN isn't free. UFC is broadcast worldwide. They get money from networks all across the globe for the TV revenue.

its sure doesn't go to you and Anderson dancing instead of fighting Israel

and there goes your chance at a title shot

better bring it next fight

Great, so MMA goes away as we now know it.

Don't remember money being an issue for anyone in the 90s...

How about this...10% of all fighters pay has to go into retirement accounts for the legends of this game that made the platform for you...the platform that most now use to point fight, weight cut and wrestle fuck in embarrassing fashion... and then bitch about pay?
the company wasn't making any money in the 90s anyway. but now? the UFC was sold for 4 billion dollars, that's the highest price for any sport entity ever. fighter pay not reflecting that is a bloody insult to humanity.

i'm all for paying veterans who helped build the brand. sure, why not. that doesn't mean current fighter pay can't vastly improve.

and why the fuck would MMA as we know it go away? are you insinuating any raise in fighter pay sinks the UFC?

The new deal has the split 70/30, but even when it was 50% the ppv numbers averaged like 400k-500k buys lol.

And you say "right off the top" like ppv revenue is their only source of income. Did you forget about the 750 million dollar ESPN deal? Did you forget about Rebok? Monster energy? Harley Davidson? Nemiroth? Modelo? Concessions? Merchandise? Live gate?

These clowns think a 4 billion dollar company doesn't make money off 300k ppv buys and a multi million dollar gate. "But what about the camera guys?!?!" if you don't think the UFC could pay for all the production cost associated with every piece of media they produce for the next 5 years with 50 million out of the 750 million dollar deal, you don't understand how numbers work. That still leaves 700 million in that one deal alone..
I hear Frankie’s footsteps...

Montana Del La Rosa got more money than Rani Yaya???? Fuck my life.

Yaya is a 16 fight UFC veteran.

And no I’m not bashing WMMA, facts are facts.

I think they're counting her win bonus and performance of the night bonus where as Yaya just got his normal purse.

PPV provider gets 50% of sales.
Do you have any sources for that. That was a pretty old deal for boxing.
UFC deal more likely closer to 70% since they have their own distribution network.
I.e fight pass., Now with streaming providers it's got to be closer.
Why do you think Dana so happy with ESPN deal?

Aren't they also allowed individual sponsors that don't conflict similar to the NBA?
Yeah they do. I remember some dude got some 25$ million contract for like Nike or Adidas or something like that. Seems to be pretty common (not the 25 mill) for major sport athletes to let their employees get extra money on the side outside of the sport. UFC said they too greedy to let that happen.

Did they pay Israel more than Mousasi?

Some of it goes to Israel.
A lot of it goes to our military.

its sure doesn't go to you and Anderson dancing instead of fighting Israel

He did the Morpheus hand wave thing from the Matrix. His show money for next fight should be cut in half just for that.

Fighters are getting royally screwed it's no secret. Maybe Israel can make himself useful and get the fighter's union going.

The real story here is $81,500 for Montana
Majority of that was the 50k performance bonus (sub of the night or performance of the night or something).

Ignoring that she got 14k to show, 14k to win, and 3.5k from Reebok. (before taxes)

If she had lost the fight she would get 17.5k only.... before taxes and all training costs. Ain't that great.

Israel should be a legacy fighter until he gets that belt, he's shooting himself in the foot here.
