Where do you rank Mir and Lesnar amongst Heavyweights?

Matusyshenko is one of those guys who flies under the radar, but had a pretty storied career. He was a solid guy for a long time and got put in the cage with some top guys. I rewatched his fight against Rizzo not that long ago.
I was taking ringside photos at IFL and there the teams would warm up outside the ring. That night vladdy would fight Tim Boetch. Vlad was shadowboxing and throwing kicks not far from me. Def was a bad dude you wouldnt wanna fuck with. He won the fight too.

Lesnar was a good hammer but not so good nail. Mir had what it took to become one of the best HWs of all time if his chin were better. Not saying he would have been but he had all the potential at one point.

Mir should be ranked higher than Nog or at least the same.

Lesnar is ranked lower even though he can beat both men.

I remember that fight. I was a fan of both dudes.

DC is probably top 3 at HW

Lesnar Mir are top 20. With Lesnar being higher.

Stipe is a better win than any those. Brock also got dominant losses. And that Carwin fight was a bit embarassing.
Lesnar win?

LOL, how? Big Nog had such a stronger career overall. It’s not really comparable.

The only argument is he beat him 2x which doesn’t even hold up cause there is more to it than head to head. We gonna place Hellman over Hughes? Or Bigfoot over Fedor?

Mir matched up well with Nog, but Mir had a huge weakness, his guard sucked and he could not take much punishment. If Mir had Nogs bottom game, toughness, and resilience he would have been something special. But as it, I rank Nogs career ahead of Mirs, like the majority of others.
Mir beat Big Nog twice, that makes it hard for me to place Nog above him. But Big Nog had way better competition.

With that said, if Mir did not have the motorcycle accident, he might be viewed with Fedor-like admiration with a possible 4-5 year run. I don't who in the UFC could beat him before the PRIDE merger. I think his losses after the accident would not have occurred if it did not happen.

I don't like Lazer. Never cared for Miranda much either.
Both top 20. Bork had few fights so a bit difficult to gauge properly.

DC is not an S tier HW. Gtfo.
He's top 10 S tier in the sport. Top 10 goat. I'm not his huge fan but he is. He walked trough Volkan. Beat Rumble twice. Beat Stipe. His career isnelite S tier. At HW y not that many wins, but more than Brock. So Jon is the best HW and champ of 1 win ? DC is top 5 at HW probably at least top 10.

Shame they never got to do the trilogy of Mir v Lesnar, I think it was talked about at one point but Brock was in and out of the UFC over the years, mustn't have quite lined up.

When did I talk about career?

Both men stopped being competitive around 2011. They both started fighting full MMA rules in 2001. Same reason I didn't give credit to Mir for trouncing Nogueira twice. I didn't give Nogueira more credit simply because he fought more due to monthly tournament format. Mir was not in Pride but I don't believe he would have struggled in that organization. Both men are the same level of fighter.

Brock doesn't really belong on an all time great list with just a handful of fights.

Fair enough. And the second fight could have easily been a win if Nog fought a bit smarter. Mir's ability on his back was deceptive. He sure got a transitions.
I mean Holloway swept the floor with Aldo 2x but nobody seems to say that Holloway is better than Aldo.
There was plenty of people on here saying he was the GOAT.

Regarding your sentence "If Mir had Nogs bottom game, toughness, and resilience he would have been something special." That is a true statement for basically every fighter, ever. For example, "If Bas had Nogs bottom game, toughness, and resilience he would have been something special."

The question is pretty much summarized in the title. Lesnar had a shorter career to dissect but Mir had the longevity to pick at. I personally would put them in the Top 15 range, I think they both are on a tier beneath the obvious S Tier HWs like Fedor, Stipe, Cain,DC, Big Nog and Werdum. A notch below guys in like the A tier with Couture, Cro-cop, Ngannou, and Ubereem. How would y'all rank them? I think they are on the same level as Sylvia and Rizzo

I would rank Brock near the bottom of that list. Okay, he beat the crap out of Herring, Couture, and Hunt but one was never very good, one he probably outweighed by 80-90 pounds on fight night, and the other was an over-the-hill kickboxer with little ground game. Only his second fight with Mir impressed me. In 3 of his last 4 fights he got destroyed by Carwin, Cain, and Overeem. Yes I know he beat Carwin but let's face it, that fight should have been stopped in the first round but wasn't and had Carwin not gassed out, the second round would have been different. Cain made hm look like an amateur, and Overeem kicked him into "bitch hood."

Only thing I disagree with is your ranking of CroCop, I think he's way up in that top tier. Sure his late career wasn't awesome, but neither were a lot of guys, including Fedor. But when he was good, he was really good.
