Plus a IFC, WEC and Strikeforce champion. Since it's Nick though, nothing matters.
Gaming the rules to get cheesy W's also isn't his thing.
For an off night it was good. Better than what GSP achieved.
Threatened? Eh, tough to say in that fight but Nick was in even less threatened situation, that's for sure.

nick diaz got absolutely destroyed by georges that night. It was a pathetic performance but that honestly shows the level of nick more than georges. Nick is a great personality and has ground skills and awkward boxing, but he is literally an average fighter. These are the guys georges was supposed to destroy instead he made dan hardy look like helio Gracie escaping a 4 round arm bar and made thiago alves look like something way better than the .500 fighter he is, also made matt serra look like fedor by getting ko'd and gound and pounded like big nog but unlike big nog he didnt stay awake and try to mitigate the assault he eneded it before fading into the abyss by tapping to strikes from a journeyman lw hobbit whilst in his prime.

I think this a fair assesment and I also feel that georges win over him means absolutely nothing towards a legacy because nicks resume became irrelevant the second he stopped fighting.

He was never a true top fighter, but big ups to him because he occupies a pretty high place in the greats. Despite having only one physical gift (his chin), he managed to become one of the top draws in the sport fighting outside of the UFC for almost his entire prime.
He was a big part of many classics too: his comeback TKO of Lawler, the comeback logo of Gomi, fun standup wars with Noons, Zaromskis, Daley, et al.
Overall a hell of a career. It's a little ironic that his legacy in some ways was Nayt getting extremely well paid after winning Canner.
