Why would your natural assumption be that they're paying for your shit.

when someone is going to the store or fast food place and someone says this are they expecting payment for the request???
i got into a heated argument last night cause i refused to pay for something i thought was a gift!
what would you do?
Dude, that's like asking for a water cup and then filling it up with lemonade.
what would you do?
I would never assume it was a gift and if I did and they wanted me to pay I wouldn't argue that fact. I would pay. Simple. What it cost? 5$?? 10$??? Is that worth looking like a loser to you? Not me but I have a job and self respect.
dam a bunch of moochers lately. 1st the lemonade & now this
dudes being convenient asking (courtesy) if u needed anything & to pick it up 4 u. always assume the courtesy is for the transportation & pay him back for the materials
You sound incredibly undeserving of even being asked that question. But I'm sure the friend has since learned you're an ungrateful asshole and won't make the mistake of considering you again.
You should be ashamed of how you repaid this person's thoughtfulness.
Look at the end of my previous post.
This is exactly what I was thinking after I read the first post. Like seriously is it that big of a deal to you that you would rather look like a cheap fuck? If I ask people if they want anything it's cause I intend to pay. If someone says the same to me I offer to pay them right away or I go with them almost all the time because who the fuck carries cash anymore.
I think everyone should have at least a little cash on the at any given time. $20 minimum.
