What's Your Next Purchase? V5

I have one complete multi-caliber lower and one stripped 308 lower with a parts kit at the house that I need to get uppers for . . . likely going to buy a 300 blk upper for my multi-caliber lower and a AR-10 upper for my 308 lower. Then I just get to wait for my 7.62 suppressor paperwork to make it through the ATF gauntlet.
Fffffuuuuuuu.

I'm in debate mode for what I want to do for my other AR-15 in terms of upper. I figure I'll go with another .223/5.56 but it's more company. The upper I have right now is a PSA blemished one and there's nothing wrong with that but I kinda want to grab a Noveske one but they're almost the price of a fucking lower.

I've never been a fan of the10/22, I prefer bolt action. I've already got a couple M&P 15-22s so another semi auto is out of the question as well.
It's a cheap bolt action, not necessarily in a bad way, but some people have expensive tastes. I like that it takes 10/22 magazines and that it has iron sights. I'm not a good enough shot with a rifle to say if it's better or worse than (insert bolt action .22 LR here). Parts of the stock can be swapped out to adjust comb and length of pull, see above. However, switching between a scope and irons isn't as easy as I thought it would be. Raising the comb made the rear sight unusable for me as I'm sure using the regular comb would have most people straining their necks to use the scope. C'est la vie.

I've never been a huge 10/22 fan either but I have to admit that they are extremely handy easy to maintain rifles. I've had a basic synthetic stock, stainless model for about 10 years or more and Ive left it completely stock except for the scope.

I've eaten tons of rabbits and ptarmigans end even a big ass snake once because of that rifle.

I havnt gotten to check out the RAR yet but for the price, seems like you can't go wrong. I'm probably going to get a 77/22 though, stainless/synthetic.

I need a 22 to be low maintenance, accurate, durable and ready to go, I also am more interested in a bolt gun right now although I don't need one since I still have my 10/22.

PWS T3 Summit seems pretty awesome. I want to handle one.

sup bro, we got the same rifle and bipod.... shits awesome... went downrange with the american for a few hours straight
It's gopher season, I expect to have a "few hours straight" too.

Well my dad called me and basically told me that he's keeping the kimber ascent I ordered but he's going to pay me for it....fine, I never even got to touch it but he's planning on using it this year so back to mountain rifle shopping for me lol.

I think I'm going to call up euro optic and have them set up a Sako finnlight in either 270 or 7mm-08 for me. Not sure what scope I'll put in it but something simple like a 2.5-10x40 or 44, no reason to go with a massive tactical paper punching scope on a light weight hunting rifle.

So I bought this thing:

BarSto Barrel and Springer Comp for the XDM 9mm.

(Don't the fucking Guys at Springer realize XDs are Matte, not Shiny?)

Was going to do a legit before and after Thread on it, but I just haven't had time to fuck with it, and so just stuck it on there.

I did shoot 2 mags thru it and have a few impressions:

Barrel is nice. Accurate. Before the gun shot a little high with 124grn bullets. Shoots point of aim now.

Recoil is noticeably less. Now running an 11lb recoil spring.

That's about it though.

No more performance gain than that.

It does not cycle as fast as my 1911 45 compgun:

Not even close. The sight radius hasn't increased and the sight still recoils back.

Was it worth $400? Probly not. I'm betting that in a head to head speed test, say steel plates at 10 yards, my Old ass Bought in 1991 45ACP compgun with 40,000+ rounds through it will smoke this fucking thing every time. Will Do that when I get a chance.

In the meantime I've decided to relegate it to the wife since she works at home, and have added a cheap Truglo, laser light to it.

That's it. Not very exciting, just more random money wasted on shit contraptions.

Daniel defense is an awesome company. I have an m4v3 that I love.

Not digging on that texture.

But that's coming from a guy who dropped $128 all-in on one of those 60 round Magpul drums.

Yeah I'll probably wait for a better deal but I'm just going to get one to check it out. I do like the 32 round set up as you can reliably load 30 rounds. Aesthetically I agree on the texture but I can see myself liking it in my hand.

Yeah I don't remember how much my surefire mags(60&100) were but I think they were pretty pricy and I've never opened them lol

I think I still have like 30 pmags and an un opened case of gi mags.

I'll still grab a few of the dd ones because I like dd. I got to tour their factory a few years ago, it was super cool.

One thing I will say in criticism of Daniel defense is that those new stocks and handles they make are fugly as hell....

I think it's $20 msrp
When I can get Hexmags at Tactical Shit for about $11.99 and PMags for anywhere from $7-$15 depending on which gen and where I get them....

I like how quality Daniel Defense's stuff is but like someone said, the grip and stocks are fugly as hell (as are Hogue's recent offerings) and they still seem to be stuck on the quad rail too.

Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with a quadrail but their non-quadrail offerings are so... meh.
