What's Your Next Purchase? V5

@ironwolf, sorry bro, been busy the last little while. My buddy just got me into Strava. Anyways, here are some pictures:

The hollow stock is about 5" deep and 3" tall, obviously with major tapering. Though I'm sure you'd still be able to squeeze in some tinder, fishing line and hook and a few rounds of ammo into it. Tried the Altoids tin, too big to fit in the stock.

Dude thanks!!! That's exactly what I wanted to see!!! Thanks for posting that, I actually thought it was hollow from the top rather than the back. Looks like you could easily stuff some survival essentials back there. ~ 20 rounds of ammo, fishing, wire saw...weed....(just joking).

Anybody seen that hk is releasing a semi auto faux mp5 type gun???

Looks interesting, another gun I won't buy but I hope somebody does so I can try it out.

Did more handloads yesterday. .243 Win this time.

Is it worth it to try hand loads on:
- .45 ACP
- .40 S&W
- .223/5.56

?

Do you like handloading? Do you shoot thosee calibers often and will it save you money?

It can be fun though my dad only has single stage presses which is a bit of a bitch. Been looking at progressives.

And they're basically the only calibers I shoot.

Well I say if your time is worth the money saved then go for it.

I'll try some and see how it goes. The single stage press is a bastard though in terms of time it takes.

Dad's balance is an old school one with counterweights and shit for the powder. Took us almost 2.5 hours to do the .300 WinMag (course, it was my first time and his first time in a couple decades) then last night it was about 1.5 hours for the .243.

49 rounds of .300 WM and 50 of .243.

Well I think I'm going to sell a few things to make room for the new ruger Hawkeye FTW hunter.

This gun seems right up my alley, apparently it's designed as a 1000 yard hunting rifle. Seems pretty cool.

I think it would be awesome to have something specifically set up as a long range hunting rifle. I've been successful with different rifles in the past but to have something sesigned for it would be cool. I'm thinking about getting it in 300wm and outing a vortex viper hst on it.

This is the first hunting rifle that's gotten me excited in awhile. I'm going to start clearing out some of my other project guns that I never got around to in order to get this project going.

While 300wm seems the obvious choice, 7mm Remington mag would be cool too.

OD Green Tavor with a 512 Eotech for sale nearby for $1500.

Don't need. Sorta want. Paralyzed with indecision.

I hate deals like that. A tavor is one of the last things I need or even want but for 1500 with an eotech...id be on the fence too.

I badly want a kifaru frame pack or an outdoorsman pack.

Won't get it for a Ike but when I get back home next time, I'm absolutely getting a kifaru day pack.

I need to start getting bits and pieces for a "go bag"/SHTF pack to be ready to go. Just realized I don't have that.

We could all be needing one come election time...
No doubt.

I have close to 650 rounds of .223/5.56 Green Tip so I am set on ammo.... just need the load carrier and a go bag and shit

Those damn Tactical Shit ISIS hunting kit sales and AR-500 sales always has a cart full but I always catch myself at checkout

Especially with what happened at UCLA today the talk will begin again. Bite the bullet and let my CC company collect a bit of interest on them for a month or two.

FUCK

So, to LEO members, former military, and guys that shoot AR's far more than me say in tactical training courses and shit. Flip up sights like MBUS or MBUS pros or any other brands that do the same thing or something like this:

On a fighting rifle you intend to throw a red dot on?

So, I was initially leaning towards putting an EOTECH On the second AR-15 but I was wonder....

What's everyone's opinion of something like this on an AR? Usable or "eeehhh"?

I have one complete multi-caliber lower and one stripped 308 lower with a parts kit at the house that I need to get uppers for . . . likely going to buy a 300 blk upper for my multi-caliber lower and a AR-10 upper for my 308 lower. Then I just get to wait for my 7.62 suppressor paperwork to make it through the ATF gauntlet.
