What's Your Next Purchase? V5

I really want to get a hunting pack for next season, looking at the Tenzing brand because of my price range. Still not entirely sure what I want out of a pack, right now, at my skill level and because Saskatchewan is all private land, I don't hunt more than a few kilometres from my truck and I won't be packing out quarters over harsh terrain.

I'm gravitating towards something like this, so I can keep the weight down, yet have the essentials on my person:

But I'm also kind of attracted to something like this:

Which seems like it would be handy come rifle season.

I bought a Badlands Superday last year for my Wyoming trip. It's more expensive than what you posted but I love mine. It even has a little holster for carrying.

I'm falling back to my "buy once, cry once" mentality and am almost dead set on getting a Kifaru. I don't think I'll ever need an external frame because I don't ever see myself having the time for week long or longer hunting trip way out in the sticks, away from base camp. Even if my transfer to Alberta plays out in the next few years, I don't think I'll reach that level of hunting anytime soon.

But I like the idea of a "bomb proof" pack that can adapt to my needs instead of having a bunch of cheaper packs.

Ordered a hi point 9mm pistol with 100 dollar bill finish a couple days ago for the lols more than anything.

this HTML class. Value is http://www.google.co

I was on a 4 day Antelope hunt, we had a camp so I wasn't exactly roughing it, so the pack was perfect for me. I live in Oklahoma and hunt whitetail mostly, I think I was probably looking for the same thing as you. Something I can pack up and go over night with by not go full mountain man. The Kifaru look good and are high quality, I don't think you can go wrong with that. If I ever get to move back out west then I will buy a full frame pack and make the wife carry the Badlands.

The Gun Bearer was what initially got me looking at Kifaru:

Those are cool as fuck. They also make a universal one that fits on any other pack belt, but after seeing enough reviews of their gear, I do want an actual pack from them as well.

It's a cool idea, I don't thinking like carrying my rifle that way though.

She likes it, but since training for another ironman, she doesn't want the risk involved. She's a green rider, and needs more time on the trainer I bought for her.

Which ironman is she doing??? I used to do ironman races but havnt for a few years now. Sometimes I think about getting back into it but then reality strikes and the idea of getting up at 430am for masters swims, heading out early Saturday for 6-7 hour bike rides, endless interval sessions on the garage trainer and running constantly sort of reminds me why I stopped doing them.

Tennessee.

Which is good, cause I get to visit a Hill Billy I know in Chattanooga. Will haul the XR so we can ride around, (see what's up in them thar hills).

When I was doing them, they didn't even have tenessee haha.

If memory serves there was
-lake placid (I did that one)
-Arizona (I did it 3x)
-Wisconsin
-Canada (did it)
-Florida (did it)
-cour d Alene
-Utah but it was a disaster then they braught it back later
-Hawaii

....and of course all the world wide ones, they used to have Korea, China, Japan, 2 or 3 I. Australia, several in Europe.

No wonder you're sick of them!

So far my wife has done Cozumel 3 times, Tennessee will be the 4th. She did a couple 50K trail runs.

My wife thinks the only sport is triathlon. Reminds of this:

Next week I'll be picking up 2 Anderson AR15 lowers and 1 Spike's (no logo) lower.

That's cool. I have the makings of a full (but simple ar) that I got from psa like 4 years ago and never ended up putting it together.

I have a Daniel defense and a colt, a BCM too but I never got into shooting ARs the way I'd hoped to.

Are these complete rifles?

Yeah the Daniel defense is the M4v3 with an Aimpoint micro t1, the BCM is an a4 with just iron sights, and the colt is a 6920 still in the box.

Then there's the parts I got from psa.

Good taste there for someone lacking interest. ;)

Well I was super interested at the time and had the extra cash to throw around. I wanted to take all sorts of carbine/pistol courses and it just never happened.
