What movies have not aged well?

Haha that’s probably true, but the cellphones would also have alarm clocks that wouldn’t get zapped when the power went out so they’d have never overslept in the first place.

Probably not the way we think though. Parents are too distracted playing Words with Friends that they never even notice Kevin isn't there. Kevin's cool though because he can just Doordash some food and watch porn all day.

Edgy, brah.

Plus, they're mainly current films, dummy; cant really include them in a discussion about 'aged' movies.
They've already aged and they are pure garbage.

Nah I'm saying the music and dialogue and general direction of that scene are corny. Just my opinion, please don't get upset.
I feel like Mann in general has always had a certain I guess style that can turn some people off. Heat definitely had a lot of his DNA so it’s understandable that it could turn some people off.

I effing love everything about it though even including Pacino’s cringe level 5000 performance. I don’t know if it’s true but the rumor is he got fucked because his character was supposed to be a full blown cocaine addict but they edited that out in the final cut.

then again, we’ve all seen enough of those mid to late Pacino performances to think “but that’s just you, blood.”

I do think latter Mann definitely has a certainly self important slickness to it that can turn a lot of people off.

I do still think Thief is a fucking amazing film though that transcends that, if people have never seen that check it out...

For me it's Fifth Element. When I watched it first time I thought it was amazing and loved it for years.

But I saw it on TV few time in last couple of years and it looked so cheesy. In my mind it looked much better when I first saw it.

Didn't age well at all for me. It just looks so artifical for some reason.
Plus chris tucker is the worst most annoying character in a movie ever . Unwatchable.

I would love to see proof of that.

I don't think Mann mentions cocaine -- and it would seem cocaine would be an important part of the character if we're going to leave in the cocaine behavior. Like, what could have occurred in the editing bay? Mann was like, "The buggy-eye hand flailing shit needs be explained otherwise because I don't want Neil losing to a cokehead?" ... did they replace coke with Justine (?) because her character is what collapses Hanna's two worlds -- one of the few times when he's screaming (but not really) AND upset.

Crazy Hanna is an act Hanna puts on to scare people into compliance; when he's actually upset he's very quiet. He's being honest when he calmly tells Justine and Ralph that he's upset, but he's also lying when he says it's about the television that he later throws out anyway.

I watched Cobra on netflix , movie didnt age well, the acting , the actions scenes were so cheesy, same with Highlander.

Yeah, they're so terrible, and I bet you've seen every single one

if you watched half or more, you clearly enjoy them. If you watched some and hated them, but continued watching half or more, you're retarded

I dont have any problem with Pacino in it actually. It's mostly just the scenes between De Niro and Amy Brenneman that make me cringe. And Val's hissy fit lol. Still think its a good movie overall.

I watched it for the first time a few months ago and I do agree about De Niro and the love interest. It’s telling that I don’t even remember her name. Seemed like they had one or two conversations and all of a sudden this guy is ready to risk everything he stands for just for her? It didn’t click with me. I didn’t think they had the onscreen chemistry to make believe that he would do that. That is my only gripe though. The other 95% lived up to the hype though and was excellent.

And she wants to go with him even though he just killed half the police department. Also she wasn't nearly hot enough for him to lose his shit like that. Talking about a hardened dude that's probably been around the world and had world class ass.

Thats what I mean by dated though, those are all late 80's early 90's tropes. These unrealistically romantic notions about people.

Exactly.

I remember last year when i watched Black Panther (it sucked) and then watched X2 (haven't seen it in years before last year) and saw how much better movie X2 was, no contest. In reality, today comic book movies... can't get any cheesier than that.... can't get cheesier than MCU movies.

I have seen Heat one month ago. What hasn't aged well there? Very good movie.

And like many people, I feel all/most 'big' movies these days fall flat. My 3 boys are all getting older now and when they come to stay with me and have a film night, we don't find ourselves watching new stuff. We revert to the classics. As far as marvel movies go, I only find myself rewatching the older ones. New ones are just chewing gum.
And I'm with you completely on black panther. Why oh why does it get so much credit....
The bad guy was ridiculous. And it was the same old shitty formula. New guy gets his powers, someone else with equal powers and a motive to want what's his, turns bad.
What I want to know is why do the people of wakanda selfishly keep their amazing technology to themselves and live in total prosperity, while letting the rest of Africa starve?
