Even his last name can't save him on the promotion anymore.
People these days are like: "Pshh......he's Nurmagomedov....so what"

The UFC squeezed his fight in between 3 WMMA prelim fights on the card this weekend.
That means most people won't even watch him.

He's not related to Khabib nor does he train with him.

Maybe we should compare Micheal Jackson and Rampage Jackson next. <{hughesimpress}>

There was never any collective assumption that all the Nurmies were created equal. Neither here, or in real life.

Anyone who thought otherwise was largely ignoring every instance of professional fighters that were related to each other. Fedor > Alex, Jim M > Dan M., Nick > Nate, Patricio > Patricky, Demetrius > Levarr, Lennox > Derrick, J Charlo > J Charlo etc.

Said isn't related to Khabib/Umar/Usman etc, it's a common misconception. Who cares.

You think every guy named Jackson can sing?

Richard was such an amazing character.

What do you mean they are not related?

There are fewer than one million Avars in Dagestan, and 30% of them are Magomedovs, by far the most common surname. That leaves around 650k Dagis spread across roughly 1,5k other surnames. The Nurmagomedovs probably number around 10k. Based on this, we can conclude that Kabib and Sajid Nurmagomedov have been related within the last 15 generations and are therefore still related, even if they don’t know it or don’t want to admit it.

I guess he saw the placement on the card after your post and decided it's not worth it.
