What makes you think that Costa won't do to strickalnd what he did to Romero?

Because Costa has been a shadow of this Costa since after Romero fight. I am convinced he got busted for PEDs, hence long layoff and a delay in a fight vs Izzy, and why he is tested more frequently than anybody else except Jones. He couldn't even remotely reproduce this against a breathless corpse of Rockhold.
He could not because the fight took place at Salt Lake City at 1.300 fucking meters over the sea

Imagine living all your life at sea level and suddenly you fight in the fucking peak of a fucking mountain

That would affect your performance or not?

We'll see. Costa hasn't finished anyone since 2018 or beat anyone in the Top 10 since 2019. In other words, he hasn't done anything worth mentioning since a year before COVID.
I was wrong.
Costa should retire. He has zero confidence in what made him the fighter that people tuned in to see. Adesanya took his manhood.
I saw him saying after the fight now that fuck points that he will go back to his old style of going forward. Right. I heard him say that before this fight and who better to do that against than pillow Sean.
Yet he was still terrified.

Sean makes everyone he fights look like last night, I hold nothing against Costa.

Romero even had a massive KO threat and also a takedown threat, which strickland has none of these. Costa will likely just overwhelm Strickland by coming forward and throwing hooks combinations. He will catch strickland against the fence sooner and later and knock him out. Strickland can't fight when someone puts pressure on him. Once Dricus started to put pressure on strickalnd in round 3, he was beating up sean and took over the fight. Costa hits harder than Dricus and has better boxing. This is easy money.
I thought he would do this but didn't.

He could've but didn't. Really poor strategy. Seems like he thought he could kick him as effectively as poatan or something

Maybe Sean hits harder than you give him credit for? Seems like you are going out of your way to not give him any credit.

Costa needs to switch camps, idk why he's working with Eric Albarracin he's regressed a lot

Sean fan, nice.
He definitely deserves the credit for the fight. When he committs with punches they have visible sting, he just 98% doesn't and yet Costa is fine too just move backwards.
Sean style is ugly as hell with all these tip kicks. But he makes it work.
Costa definitely fought like a Bambi, though despite saying he will march forward. That's what I'm criticising.

Nice comment--no shame in admitting your prediction wasn't right. And yes, Costa backed up almost the entire fight. He lets his opponents dictate where and how the fight takes place. He'll never have success against elite guys if that doesn't change.

DDP and Cannonier managed to win close/controversial SDs against him because they did more than Costa. I think Costa's fans were hoping for that, but he completely fell for Sean's game and didn't move forward and land many hard shots. I know their fight was an SD as well, but that was only because of an insane judge. It was a clear UD win unlike the other fights I mentioned.

Uh oh, guys. Headhunter Costa is apparently emerging now. No more boring fights where he gets outboxed by freakin' Vettori or fails to finish the corpse of Luke Rockhold.
