What makes you think that Costa won't do to strickalnd what he did to Romero?

Costa should have a busted, bloody nose by the end of round 2. I have a hard time ever rooting for Strickland, but fraud Costa is one opponent that makes me do it.

Because of Costa's size, people act like this dude is Ngannou at MW, but there are plenty of more dangerous guys than Costa. Costa doesn't have a win over an active fighter.

Strickland's style is a bad match for a gassed fighter and Costa isn't known for his endurance over a long fight.

I think Costa only chance is to catch him early... Stricklands pace will suck the life ouf of him by the end of round 2. If he doesnt catch him early.. Ref stoppage late 3 early 4

Romero throws like 7 punches per round.

Completely different fighters.

Strickland via late TKO

Romero even had a massive KO threat and also a takedown threat, which strickland has none of these. Costa will likely just overwhelm Strickland by coming forward and throwing hooks combinations. He will catch strickland against the fence sooner and later and knock him out. Strickland can't fight when someone puts pressure on him. Once Dricus started to put pressure on strickalnd in round 3, he was beating up sean and took over the fight. Costa hits harder than Dricus and has better boxing. This is easy money.
Stickland is very different than Romero. Strickland is a volume pressure fighter and Costa is not nearly as fast as Strickland in terms of punching volume. Those lags in Costa's output will create openings for Strickland to land jabs and combinations to control the fight, win rounds and do damage. Costco certainly has powerful striking (arms and legs), but I think he will have problems with the pressure, volume and accuracy from Strickland. I think Strickland wins comfortably.

I actually thought the forum made the change so white belts couldn't create threads. Wishful thinking I guess.

Why in the holy fuck did Romero sign up for a 5 round co main?

He should fire his manager

Assuming you are talking about Costa, obviously because Strickland refused to fight if it is not 5 rounds. In his mind why should Costa be rewarded for losing to Whittaker with a fight against a higher ranked opponent?

Because Costa has been a shadow of this Costa since after Romero fight. I am convinced he got busted for PEDs, hence long layoff and a delay in a fight vs Izzy, and why he is tested more frequently than anybody else except Jones. He couldn't even remotely reproduce this against a breathless corpse of Rockhold.

I haven't seen Kosta fight since Lukas Stone grip. Is the fight against Knuckles a good watch for this upcoming luta?

Yeah. Costa. Ok, so that's the back story.

I can't see how this goes Costas way.

He isn't a big finisher and doesn't have 3 rounds in him at any sort of pace let alone Strickland pace.

Styles make fights and I think (maybe I'm wrong) that Costa started believing in himself again after the Whittaker fight.
If he is going to be timid and afraid of slugging it out with pillowfisted Sean he should consider retirement because bulldozing forward is his style that has worked for him more often than not if he wasn't afraid to go forward and make it dirty. Izzy planted some panic into his brain but the Rob fight brought the confidence back I believe.

We will see how he does. In my mind, if he is going to go for it he should clock Sean at some point or outglapple him.
We'll see. Costa hasn't finished anyone since 2018 or beat anyone in the Top 10 since 2019. In other words, he hasn't done anything worth mentioning since a year before COVID.

I don't disagree.
