What makes them think Jones would "have a hard time" at HW?

Uh no, it is not a clear indicator.

Fighting larger guys isn't always harder. Esp when most of them are terrible athletes and lack technique. Anyone who understands the sport knows this.

People who think that Gus and Jones wouldn't be as successful at HW are out of their minds. The HW champ also happens to be a fat 240-lb guy who could make LHW if he wanted to - isn't that enough as proof?

Yet he carries his size differently. Jones doesn't have the thickness or power to compete at HW

Bones at HW... if he really wanted to he could fight at that weight, he has to cut to get to LHW, It seems he is more comfortable as a LHW and seeing what Gus was able to do against him makes me think that as a HW he could beat some guys but I dont see him cracking the top 5 at HW

People who think they would are out of their minds. Do you seriously believe the stuff you're saying? Jones going to HW even after he got fucked up by the first person he fought his size who he couldn't take down except once out of 12 tries(which had gus stand straight back up with no damage inflicted) would be the same as when Chael moved up to LHW to fight Jones. Yea chael dominates other MW's he made anderson look like a child with his unstoppable godly takedowns, He takes other wrestlers like Brian Stann and makes them his wife, Yet when he moved to LHW to face jones he got shit on and looked like he didn't belong. The same will happen to Jones at HW hell it already happened at LHW almost.

Also P.S. Wise guy he can't even KO a LHW he doesn't have the KO power to hang with the big boys he wouldn't even have the punchers chance other HW's have, he'd be the only one too.

that 240 pound fat guy is comfortable enough with his own body to fight at that weight his whole career, Jones never has and also has a very different body type. Adding weight would not suddenly make him more powerful and might slow him down depending on how he handles the extra weight

Solid points, but there is never a clear indicator until it actually does happen and we see how it all plays out.

He has the mass but lacks the proper striking technique to generate enough power, it would become increasingly evident at HW.

How do you know Jones isn't comfortable with 240 lbs? He probably weighs 220 or so right now when he's competing, so it's not like it's a big difference for a 6"4 guy.

Jones has very thin legs, so adding some more muscle/strength to those could definitely make him a better athlete.

The only thing most HW:s (everyone except Cain/JDS) have on Jones right now is power, nothing else. You seriously think power alone trumps everything Jones brings to the table?

When a guy gets dropped by Kongo 2 times in one fight, he can't box. And that guy who can't box almost knocked out JDS, so he can't box either.

Cain isnt fat not could he make 205 dumbass! He also lost those first 3 rds to Gus and was gifted that decision!
