I was looking at some wikis and it turns out JDM fought a Dagestani wrestler early in career and OBLITERATED him

Did the repeat of Petr vs Merab against wrestler in Belal Muhammad recently

Had a very counter grappling heavy training camp for the Islam fight yet he could do NOTHING At All. Its actually kind of crazy Islam made it look so easy as based on history JDM shoulda had his head if you look at his previous performace the last time he fought a Dagestani wrestler.

Islam faced a much better trained and much more experienced JDM but he looked like he was on a different planet when it comes to performance

Preparation time!

Islames last LW fight was in January against Moicano, who was not even in the Top 10, and a month later Daner announced that Bilel and JDM would fight in May.

So Islame knew that JDM was a possible fight for him, and he had time to start preparing for him as early as February, all while JDM was preparing for Bilel. I know, I know, he did not have a 10 month fight camp. But does anyone here want to say with a straight face that Islame was just sitting at home, playing with his horses? LOL. Not even the biggest bathtubber can deny that the guy was preparing for JDM from the beginning of this year, doing specific training for him. On top of that, he had the entire fight in May to watch and study, while JDM had to take a break after a long preparation and a five round fight.

Moreover, Islame knew with complete certainty that he would fight JDM at MSG in the autumn, even before the contracts were signed. The official announcement came in August, by which point Islame already had around six to seven months of preparation. JDM most likely did not start preparing for Islame until August, giving him roughly three months or less. Sure, three months is the standard preparation time. However, if your opponent has had roughly three times as long to specifically prepare for you, you do not need to be a genius to see who had the advantage.

Now turn the tables and give JDM nine to ten months of training, while Islame has a fight in between, and JDM would look much better than he did. I am not even claiming he would win, but he would definitely look different. Just look what Volk could do with like 3-4 months of preparation and bulk up time in comparison to the 2nd fight when they pulled him off the couch and after he had surgery.

Islam said he started taking Russian "creatine" for the first time in his life. He previously tested positive for one of the mostly commonly prescribed drugs in the Russian State Doping Program, so who knows what he was actually taking? His teammates who he describes as brothers, Zubaira Tukhugov and Usman Nurmagomedov, have tested positive for steroids and served PED suspensions.

Even before hopping on Russian "creatine", Islam was noticeably bigger than Belal, who is similar in size to JDM.

Islam had a size and strength advantage over JDM.

Holy shit, he bulked up to 195 and grew a half an inch. Stop the presses.

Russian creatine.

Cope harder. "Russian creatine" pales in comparison to "medical exceptions" practiced by Western athletes, even not counting the blatant roiders.
Maddalena is a journeyman who was lucky to get to the spot, championship caliber fighters don't have faces that beat up. He lost because of a huge skill gap, not strength/cardio difference. He's not sniffing the belt ever again.

That’s your response to me when I linked something what JDM actually said? Answering the question in the topic.
He was shocked how strong his opponent was and they didn’t prepare for that. Only thing what had changed was his opponent taking russian creatine. These are just facts, go cry somewhere else.
