What knife did you carry today?

So I'm looking to get my brother an edc type knife for christmas, I'm looking for one with roughly a 3'' blade and around $75. I was initially thinking a spyderco but now I'm contemplating a kershaw too.

I've whittled it down to either an endura:

Or a Blur:

Thoughts or other suggestions?

Man I just got a spyderco and I love it but my blur has been my go to edc for a long time.

Either eay I'd be one happy bro of yours with either of those picks.

I have a Blur and I really like it. Spyderco is a great brand, but i'm hit or miss on specific knives.

kershaw leek. pretty slim.

For kershaw fans looks like amazon has quite a few going on their lighting deals tonight and tomorrow.

(leek - black serrated, scrambler, skyline, 1985ST, Emerson designed CQC-4K, chive, silver leek, OD green Blur)

In that order.

What's the purpose of that blade design? Skinning?

Tried out spyderco with the tenacious and I love it. Can anyone recommend a step up in steel that is a similar size etc to the tenacious (in the spyderco brand)?

How much are you looking to spend?

Anyone have any experience with rescue knives for Fire/EMT's. My little brother is in the Coast Guard and is a volunteer fire fighter. Want to get him a good one to carry on his person. He's responded to a lot of vehicle extractions and the like and could use one.

Looking to spend around $120.

Manix or Manix 2 probably.

$200 or less

As mentioned above. The Manix and Manix 2 are similar in size and you can get them in s30v steel.

I also want to mention the superleaf. I own one and quite like it. VG10 steel and spyderco's wire pocket clip allows for a deeper carry. Check it out.

I know I recommend this one a lot, but the Kershaw Blur is a great knife. It has a glass breaker and is available with a partially serrated blade which I think would be useful for cutting seat belts. It's much less than $120 but it's not a cheap knife.

A little over 120 but I'm sure you could find one cheap if you shop around.

Cheaper option and somewhat underrated is the victory of rescue tool.
