What is Geoffrey Neal’s path to victory against Carlos Prates?

He's got a solid chance to beat the Marlboro Man. As long as he keeps moving well and landing hard shots, I think he can break him down for a second or third round stoppage.

I like the nerds, they bring some fresh air with their gimmick.
But that fight is a coin flip for me. Both have the hands to end the fight early.
And I wouldn´t count out Neal, he has shown often enough what he can do.

Prates looked like an above average plodding fighter against Garry.

Neal was likely stand and trade with him which will help him, but he's also far too passive at times relying on his power.

You failed to mention that he lost to some of the fighters you mentioned. He also fought RDA and Luque out of their prime.

The UFC fighters Prates has fought:

Giles / Radtke / Jiangliang / Magny / Garry

Not exactly a row of killers/legends.

It's a pretty well-made fight in both style and tests, Neal is a gatekeeper on the slow decline and Prates just lost his first real big step-up.

this isn't a winnable fight for Neal. He should pretend to be KO'd like Magny. it's not worth all that damage sometimes.

Punching Prates early and often would be my suggestion, and he should avoid getting knocked out as well.
Maybe look to execute both simultaneously?

If he can implement those 2 strategies, he just might pull it off
<mma4> what a novel plan, surprised TS never heard of this.
