What happened to Zuffa Boxing?

Getting boxers is no problem Dana, with tight relationships with Tom Loeffler and Freddie Roach. Top level fighters would come if Turki pays well. But Dana always says the boxing system is too broken so my guess is he would be in Turki plan of teams so far he signed Golden Boy, Top Rank, and already had Queensberry vs Matchroom. GB will face Boxxer .... How Dana could be involved in this I do not know.
Tom Loeffler can help him to acquire boxers but K2 Promotions aren't nearly as big as say Top Rank or Matchroom. As for Freddie Roach he's just a trainer. He's not on the promotional or managerial side of the sport.

I agree takes time to build a top stable.

I don't think he'll build one from scratch. Given the UFC's history of buying their main competitors it's quite likely that he'll look to do the same in boxing. He'll probably make an offer for Matchroom's stable to enter the sport. He already has a good relationship with Eddie Hearn. However, the Saudis are also interested in buying most of the top boxing promotions (Matchroom included). Dana could find himself in a bidding war with them and we already know how that will end.

The Saudis have shown no interest in buying promotions no matter what rumors have said, they have signed promotions and want to lead a league of these promotions.

As for Eddie Hearn he said TKO holdings would want Matchroom but he has promised his father to never give up control, and past rumors of Endeavor trying to buy PBC, and TKO trying to buy TR have all fallen thru or were never true. And no way could Dana on his own afford a to buy a Top promotion.

Time will tell how serious the Saudis are about buying the top boxing promotions outright. They're already in talks to secure a minority stake in several of them in order to build their league. I never said Dana would look to buy a top boxing promotion on his own. TKO/Endeavor would if it ever happens.

Not many top ones left if as rumors say PBC and TR fell thru. As for the rumor of TKO buying Top Rank that was started by Rick Glaser who claims it fell tru. He is now saying that Dana will do a search for top fighters with Turki Alalshikh.

Not sure where these fighters would sign with?

i don't think dana would do well in the boxing world, anyway. people praise him as some masterful promoter, but he's really running a business with an almost absolute monopoly.

he'd have to actually work with other promotions in boxing, and that alone would seriously change the dynamics. not to mention the ali act actually applies here, so he doesn't determine the rankings and the title fights.

besides, he's a sack of shit. having him carve out a piece of boxing for himself only leaves the sport in a worse place.

Why would you think this?

Dana has had nothing but massive success in the last two decades he has tried to get involved in boxing.

Also, Dana doesn't 'run' anything of any importance. It's not his monopoly.

Him and Turki have been lunching, for him to commit(considering all the problems you mentioned) Turki has obviously made him an offer impossible to refuse.

If the fighters were smart they'd sign with the Saudis like Usyk did last year. He's still with K2 but now co-promoted by the Saudis through Skill Challenge Entertainment.

ProBox has found a formula that works. Angelo Leo is a world champion now.

Why can't Dana do something similar? By no means do I root for Dana, but I could totally see him starting with a contenders series type show and grow a stable into World Championship contenders, especially with Turki's holding his hand all the way up to the mega fights.

I'm thinking he'll look for young up and coming fighters to promote like that Callum Walsh guy I always see. I wouldn't be surprised if he did a contender series show with that too.

Zuffa Boxing is now a thing, as the fights were co-promoted by 360 Promotions and Zuffa Boxing and You Tube UFC has posted the ring interviews as Zuffa Boxing so it is now a thing.

Turki has the money, the boxing promoters have the contracts. It’s clear Dana and Tueki have become close, but I don’t see what value Dana adds to this boxing league. Turki seems to want to be the figurehead.
