What happened to the WAR Till promised?

Poor Till. He always understood hes position in the division and wanted to fight hes way to the top. Stupid UFC rushed him to the title shot and this is what happened.

i like him as a person but his fights are boring as fuck

i couldnt imagine Till winning

He was laughably overhyped. He best win is Cerrone, a lightweight who's been murked by every top lightweight. He didnt really beat Thompson.

Like TS said, he was an unproven commodity that I willing to believe in & was waiting to see where we stand. Now we know where he stands.

Seriously, did he throw a strike all fight? Did Woodley take a shot at all?

Fair points. Tbh i think till fighting wonderboy ruined his approach to fighting Woodley. You are right...till should've let it hang out more. Eapecially in hindsight.

I think we agree that tills lack of experience in a big fight froze him up a bit and allowed him to walk into a fairly obvious counter setup by woodley.
The kid has talent. I think he was rushed a bit.

I also think he needs to move up. Till has interesting matchups at MW which won't ruin his kidneys.

Guy promoted himself, and talked his shit. Though the fight didn't go his way, to put it nicely, he's built himself quite a following. When he came in aggressive, he got clipped and that was the fight. Just how it goes sometimes.

I don't know how far Till will go, but he's going to make a lot of cash and have a great career. He'll do more than any of us lowly peasants.

To be honest, Tyrone is just a level above all current WW contenders.

Nice GIF looser... Anyways you're talking tripe, fighters get caught all the time, see Aldo vs Mcgregor, is he over hyped? He's a young kid with a bright future in the sport.
You are a clear-cut dumbass.....Till was not able to do jack sh*t in back to back fights DESPITE being so much bigger? Till sucks as badly as your life outside of Sherdog.

He was gun shy in the Wonderboy fight and the Championship fight. Curious to see how he rebounds from this. Gotta say he sold wolf tickets with his War comments.

You understand such thing as a "gameplan"? He planned to let Woodley tire himself the first two rounds and then come on strong. It just didnt happen. He probably thought Woodley would survive till the end, and that he'd win the decision by beating on him in the last 3 whilst Woodley gassed.

If that really was Till's plan it'a all he more reason to mock him, considering all he had to do was look at how many challengers actually won 5-round title fights via decision. Any challenger who goes into a title fight with the mentality that it's going 5 rounds no matter what is already beaten and just wasting everyone's time.

But seriously, to answer TSs question, when I heard Till say he wasn't afraid over and over in the prefight hype promos, I knew he'd be scared because that's exactly what scared people say. And then when he actually felt Woodley's power he knew he was more fucked than a pornstar. It's one thing to see a guy on tape and a different thing entirely to experience how strong, fast, etc. he is firsthand. Till was beaten long before he got finished.

The war came before the fight. A war of attrition with water.

Yeah I actually wanted to see that he HAD something against someone formidable.

When someone says I'm coming for war, I want to get hyped behind the guy and if he wins or brings the war at least then I am a fan going forward.

But he threw only a few punches so I can't even begin to say he has heart though I admire him answering the ref several times after the bows.
