Whatever Isam does next will please me. If it's Ilia, Arman, Gatehje or a Charles rematch those are all very impressive fights and elite fighters. And even moving up will do as well.

Gaethje has to be a joke, Charles needs to earn a rematch too he got dispatched pretty easily in their first fight. The Arman and Ilia fights are what's next. Having a title reign of constant 145ers and rematches vs guys pushing 40 isn't very cash money.

Lol. He's fought 9 times in the last 4 years. Of the other champs, Jones has fought twice, Ankalaev has also fought 9 times, DDP has fought 8 times, Belal has 8 fights, Merab has 7, Pentoja has 7. The 2 Dagis are the most active of the champs. Islam has also beaten the #1, 2, 5 and 6. It was #1, 2, 4, and 5 with #3 being out from getting KO'd last year, but Max got pushed into the top 5 in just the last couple weeks after getting 1 win in the division and going back down again.

So the answer to TS' question for you is nothing, you will just make shit up and move goal posts no matter what he does.

There are no clear contender beside him unless he stays innactive for a long while to wait for something to be figured out.

Best that can be done in this situation is for Islam to fight Topuria and have Arman beat Geathje in the meantime to re-earn his shot.

Really that is all I want, for him to defend against actual contenders. Not Khabib leftovers on a one fight win streak, or a guy he already beat at full strength, who took the fight on no notice and flew across the world.

Exactly. Fight 2-3 times a year and your career will go much better. Islam has all the talent and personality to be a star but it’s hard to stay relevant when you only fight once a year at best.

He’s 33. He should be chasing records now. He should fight Ilia ASAP while he waits for his shot at WW.
