Britain is going for the V for Vendetta timeline, the US seems to be getting Escape from New York mixed with Robocop, meanwhile Google is trying to make the movie Cars a reality, and Cern seem to want to open the gates of hell for some reason. Everyone's wondering where the antichrist is but he just seems to be chilling and drinking a lot.

No matter the case we were promised zombies so how are they going to show?

Seeing as how Romero is responsible for the zombie plague I would go with his origin for them.

I read somewhere that originally he was going to have the zombies being a product of a bacteria from space brought to Earth via a satellite but decided it would be better to not know what the cause was.

At the moment they're literally making a military AI and naming it Skynet because the designers are Terminator fans. With labs full of genetically modified virsus around the world and the Z genre being as big as it is it's not hard to picture someone out there trying to make something like this.
