Crime What did the cops do wrong today. Vol. 2

This.

Those shitheads should have remained put and called their supervisor for a car to come pick the guy up.
But then who would bust all the kids that potentially have some of the marijuana?

The public trust is gone.

Lmao at none of these cops answering a basic ass question

"How could I go about filing a complaint against an officer?"

***INSTANT AGGRO***

Just trying to get home to his family?

I guess we should thank him for staying home with his family.

At 5 a.m. on May 26, more than 2 dozen SWAT team officers allegedly entered the Illinois home of Crystal Worship, where she, her boyfriend and her three sons were asleep. All of the officers had assault rifles, Al Hofeld, an attorney for the Worship family, told CBS Chicago.

“We’re home in bed, the kids was sleeping,” Worship said.

The officers, from the Country Club Hills Police Department and the Richton Park Police Department, had search warrants to arrest Worship’s boyfriend on charges of drug possession and possession of weapons with an expired permit, but the charges were later dropped, CBS Chicago reported.

The lawsuit says Amir sat on his bed with his hands in the air, but as the officer was putting his flashlight away and put his hand back on the gun, it allegedly discharged and shot Amir in the knee, shattering his kneecap.

After the Amir was shot, the Worship family alleges that the officer covered his badge with black tape and covered his body camera. Other officers allegedly lied to Worship and told her that none of her children had been shot, but that officers shot someone passing outside, the Daily Beast reported.

No guarantee that they get paid. The lunatics who are sitting on the federal courts these days are making some bizarre ruling RE qualified immunity for cops. The 11th circuit just ruled that a cop who shot a 10 year old in his front year while aiming for the family dog, which was not acting in a threatening manner, was protected by qualified immunity.

System protects rank incompetence day in and day out.

So, his gun accidentally discharged? Okay, well the cop should possibly lose his job for his negligence and thankfully that young kid was not injured fatally. Why do the races of the people involved have to factor in here?

This was filed in state court. I haven't review the complaint but I suspect that this kid is going has a state claim he will settle on.

Definitely unacceptable for this kind of thing to happen. The officer needs to be held accountable for this. This sort of thing happens way to often.

No knock raids should be illegal. Kicking doors in because a guy had a drug charge (dropped no less) and an expired weapons permit? Fucking ridiculous.

You know why, but you should take that up with the people who wrote the article.

I care more about the incompetence and warped definition of qualified immunity for LEOs, which is why I didn't mention race at all.

Yeah. There's a few very rare situations I can them seem being beneficial. Basically a murderer who is highly likely to shoot it out with police if they show up at his door.

Drug charges and an expired foid? Fuck that. I'm glad the kid survived. Hopefully he makes enough off this lawsuit to never have to work a day in his life.

Shattered the kid's kneecap? 12 years old. The city is going to pay through the nose for that one.

Honestly surprised they didn't try and plant some crack on him and throw a fake or real gun in his back seat.

No shit. Here's a DWB case from Georgia where they tried to get a college football player on cocaine position based on the bird shit that was on his car.

Luckily, he was smart and immediately went to get a blood test as soon as he was released from custody and got the charges dropped.

During the arrest last Wednesday, Werts told deputies a white substance on his hood was bird poop. Field tests of the substance by deputies returned positive for cocaine, according to The George-Anne, Georgia Southern's student newspaper.

There needs to be more coverage about how much cops lie about the results of these field narcotics tests.

There was a case in NYC when I was living there where cops arrested a guy with candy from a candy store that he'd literally just walked out of and claimed that the "field test" came back positive for meth.
