Crime What did the cops do wrong today. Vol. 2

Or you know, they could call their dispatcher for some humane transport.
Whose to say everyone else wasn’t on a call? Or it’s department policy for mounted police to transport their own subjects? More outrage porn meanwhile the white kid who got beaten to death by a black dude in Detroit over a fender bender has been swept under the rug.

Please don't be black

Ah shit he was black

This is embarrassing, but not inhumane.

Is your outrage because he isn't being driven? Oh, the horror

I do think they should have got him a car. It was hot as fuck yesterday I work in the area.

Why make such wild assumptions based on your imagination to defend this?

Normally, I would be in line to defend the police....

But this right here? Oh hell no.

This is embarrassing, but not inhumane.

If you can't see how this is a direct throwback to slavery and how they were treated, I doubt you you could be convinced otherwise.

Dragging a man through the street with your horse during the Texas summer... isn't inhuman?

Seems like a pointless semantic argument to me.
I mean, I think of two totally different scenarios. Police drag man through street with horse is quite different than police led man through street with horse. Just imo.

Dragging is a hell of a stretch tho. Dragging assumes on your ass or stomach sliding across the dirt or pavement. Not walking under your own power. So that's pretty untruthful of you.

It's a hell of a bad look unless the guy was a murderer or rapist with gang connections and they didn't want to sit in the open with him cuffed until a car arrived. Police chief has already said they're taking that out of their acceptable policies immediately. So even he knows they dun fucked up.

I don't see what's inhumane. If the cops on horseback have to get him out of there stat, they don't have much of an option, other than hogtying him and throwing him on the back of the horse. I've been cuffed and thrown in the back of a cruiser. Not very comfortable. Personally, I'd take the horse and leash treatment.

That all said, the real question is, why are cops on horseback in 2019?

Dragging just means you're pulled.

Clearly the guy was behind them.

Or you know, like I said in the post you quoted but didn't read..

Just call your dispatcher. Galveston isn't some backwater.

If it was a white guy being led by the cops on horseback, you wouldn't take a second glance at it.
