What Did Shane Carwin Have Over Tank Abbott?

Shane carwin is probably the most overated fighter ever lol.

He had big power in the HW division which usually means of you land you win. But...his skillset was not that good and the skills of guys now are way better. And i like carwin.
Oh I disagree B

Am I thirteen? Lol what? You're the one who came at me cherry picking one thing out of the entire statement and acting like it discredits the rest of it without addressing the other points like I insulted your daddy or something. It's nothing I haven't seen before, but your level of hostility is amusing.

The biggest god damn hands that ever graced the end of a mans wrist.

That's Lesnars fist on the left
This photo has been debunked many times already.

Carwin has fatter fingers but Lesnar's appears to be longer.

A D2 wrestling national title, some size and more refined striking.

I recall Carwin having a larger glove size than Lesnar. 5XL vs 4XL?

For all the talk about Tank's wrestling pedigree by the OP I highly doubt Don Frye could have taken Shane Carwin down. Carwin generates more power in a shorter distance than any fighter I've ever seen, but Tank certainly had loads of KO power too. Carwin had a hell of a chin as we saw in the JDS fight and Tank never really showed a great chin, and he was never in shape either. Really Tank was more of a just a street brawler that kind of epitomized the days of the early UFC, while Carwin was a much more polished version and what Tank might could have been if he actually trained.
This, I am an old school MMA guy, and I will never forget the mauling Vitor gave Tank. Would the Phenom have done that against Carwin? I don't think so. That was crazy ass bath salt Vitor, but still.

Those two hands are about the same size... Lesnar's hand is raised higher, and doesn't have a glove/wraps on between the fingers.

Whoa whoa whoa...you gonna let facts get in the way of a good story?? Your sherbro card is revoked!!

And, you know, didn't suck.

A power puncher with little technical training who doesnt mix it up and has horrible BJJ does suck.

Its what i implied in my post without taking the time to spell it out like this.

No shit? Thought I remember hearing Lesnar had huge hands also. Damn, he's making Brock look like the guy from the Burger King commercial!!

Lesnar wears XXL gloves and his hands are as big as Shaq's

Brock and Carwin both use XXXXL Gloves, in the picture Carwins hand looks bigger because he was just punching someone in the face with it and it was taped up with a glove on.

Shane Carwin was a great UFC HW recently and made his way to a title shot, which he almost won.

Now that I think of it, I can't really think of anything that Shane Carwin had that Tank Abbott didn't. Tank was a 290 lb NCAA wrestler with 1 punch KO power.

Could a prime Tank actually compete in today's division and win some fights? Be a top 10? 5? Contender?

Carwin actually took people down. Tank never bothered and just wanted to brawl. Tank invented Sprawl and Brawl I think. Minus the Sprawl Part.
