Chimaev kinda just let him go since he didn't want to fight him and after that he was starched by Izzy and he became Irrelevant and no more on his target as he doesn't hold the belt.

But Pereira was put on the spot by Chimaev and Poatan didn't rose up to the chellenge.

Pereira never wants to fight Chimaev he has conceded on before that he will never win in a bout against Khamzat which also killed whatever tension they had previously. Good luck with him on beating Jiri a Chimaev former training partner

Khamzat has been a Twitter warrior for the last 3 years or so. He talks a big game but doesn't fight much.

That alone is sufficient for Alex to have that opinion if he wants.

Khamzat called out Alex as I recall, and short ish notice for Alex who I think had just fought at 85 with his big cut so Alex said sure, I'll fight you at 205.. (if you want me to fight in short notice after a big weight cut)

After that if Khamzat didn't actually want to fight he should have kept his mouth shut. Or negotiated, asked for 195 or something.

Khamzat basically called out a more accomplished more active fighter and said "fight me on my terms" which is dumb because he didn't have much to bring to the table for that particular negotiation.

He can go a long way to getting back on track if he is successful in the Costa fight.

That Nate Diaz debacle was a PR disaster. Khamzat does not know how to read the room. UFC gave him a layup, favorable matchup against a HUGE name star and he would have fought for the title already if he just showed up.

Crazy how effectively he shot himself in the foot with that... then sat out ANOTHER year.

At this point I don't want him to be champ. we have enough champs that don't fight already.

The truth is simple sometimes no fanfics needed for this. Chimaev put him on the spot as simple as that and Poatan made the right decision declining him. The people around him like Glover and his managers will have never allowed him to fight Chimaev and also something to note is that the whole beef was never personal for Chimaev he just wanted a crack at him for sporting reasons and once he found out the guy doesn't want to fight he just left him alone..

If he had kept going it would have been misbehaviour and rude but he took the high ground leaving the man in peace

You are a bad judge of character. Chimaev doesn't trash talk everyone example he didn't trash talk Burns or Jiangle he just made some histornics at the weigh-ins to increase the interest of the fight. Chimaev is a showman unlike conor who had no filter. Chimaev is a very respectful individual. He has the same pattern he only goes after other bad guys as he said and trash talks with them. Example M3, Holland and Paulo all 3 fights were grudge matches.

If he was to fight Cannonier there will be no trash talk and if he fights Marvin Vettori yes there will be trash talking etc etc.

He has personality similar to Izzy when it comes to trash-talking if you enter grudge match with him you will get one immediately and if you are trash-talker you will get it. But if you are a Cannonier, Whittaker no trash-talk.

He even said in an interview he likes to fight other bad guys and sort of like bad guy vs bad guy thingy that is why he was never excited about fighting against Whittaker at one point he said he is a nice guy.

He also said that he felt uncomfortable with Burns family being there and that he had to hurt there father in the cage.

But outside of these grudge matches Khamzat is one of the nicest guys on the UFC roster.

All these trash-talk is for selling fights and making people care and he is succeeding. He is a succesful company and will be rewarded for that with TS and massive contracts. He is happy to play the villain role to get casuals and everyone to fuking care

Came to say this. Khamzat was awesome when he first came to the UFC, dominating and fighting a lot, and then he vanished. When he is in the media it's just him talking shit and saying he'll kill everyone without actually fighting or doing anything.
