I dropped Lies of P. I was enjoying it but it got much harder around chapter 5 and having to use the parry mechanic is just not fun. It's not as fun or well done as it is in Sekiro. I don't understand why they made it like this. First setup a stagger bar, then hit them with a big swing? Seems like something they overly complicated just for the sake of being different.

They copied so much from, Fromsoft they should have just copied the Sekiro combat on top of it. I might go back and try it again maybe with a different weapon but for now I've dropped it.

Went ahead and started playing Daybreak 2. Daybreak 3 comes out in the fall and I wanted to have a good gap between the two. So far I'm enjoying it but a bit annoyed that playing the demo didn't bring over the trophies I popped in the demo. I'm going for the plat which requires 2 playthroughs anyways so not a huge deal either way.

Still working on GT7 as well just casually playing that on the side.

Uninstalled Atomfall.

It has a really intriguing world, but I just find the combat to be too annoying.

Clunky, unforgiving and trying to actually see the enemy is half the battle.

Picked up Sekiro and Gran Turismo 7 for $60 total on the PS5. I dont have the time for either.

The good thing about GT7 is most of the races and things to do are quick. I tend to hop in when I only have a good 30 mins or so to just mess around and do a couple of races.

Gave Dishonoured a bit of a go this morning.

I'm not sure what to make of it. I like stealth, but I don't tolerate having my cover blown and will save scum and restart.

I also found it quite difficult to really get into the world, but that may just be the fact that I have a nasty cold.

As much as I'd like to be those epic skill YouTubers, I'm not sure how much more time I'm going to give to it...
It's really fun once you learn how to abuse the mechanics. Stick to it. I was kind of sucky when I first started. I played it all slow and awkward like hitman. I would wait like 3 minutes for a guard to turn around.

I pre-ordered it but didn't play it at launch because of the terrible first impressions. But finally played it last year and had a blast, it was awesome. I would recommend you buy the DLC if you haven't already because it's really good

Did it crash a bunch when you played it? I've been putting time in and love it so far, but it has crashed a lot since I started and seems to happen every hour or two. Playing on PS5 but it's the PS4 version so maybe it has something to do with it.

No I didn't get any crashes, it was rock solid for me but I was playing on PC

Damn that’s a shame. Lies of P is probably in my top 10 this gen so far. Use the trident weapon that the Fallen Archbishop gives you. I beat the entire game with that. You should have seen what this game was like on release. They had to nerf a ton of shit. I beat Puppet Master pre-nerf. Very proud of that fact lol. He was an absolute monster pre-nerf. Twice as much health, more damage, etc. I think one reason I succeed at these games like Lies of P and Khazan is because they are so tough at launch that you’re forced to get good and by the time they get nerfed it seems easy by comparison. It feels like being a beta tester with souls games at launch. I’m looking forward to the DLC. Although now I’m debating getting the Switch 2 in the summer instead….. that DK trailer blew me away lol. Love me some platformers.

I was really enjoying it but from the start I could tell I didn't like the parry system and just ignored it which was simple enough to do early on. On chapter 5 though I can see it's going to be needed and it just kind of ruined the game for me now. I do need to try other weapons and if that doesn't work then I'm just out.

At this point though I need to wrap up daybreak 2 and then I'm going to give it another try.

I'm not a Nintendo guy there games just aren't for me. I did see that DK game though and it looks really fun.

Schedule 1 is addictive even though it is such a basic game.

Playing some warzone verdansk today. First game and killed by a streamer I watch all the time!

I reinstalled too to celebrate Verdansk. Haven’t fired up yet. 190GB install though, oof.

I finally finished the Witcher 3, my first playthrough. I'd call it a flawed masterpiece. It will be a long time before I play it again. Also, concerning the 'remaster', the performance is appalling.

Same, I made it to the ~4.6 hour mark before I broke. Neat concept and unsettling atmosphere, but a shit game overall. 5/10 if I'm being highly generous.

Fallout 76

I just don't get these types of games. MMO's in general, but the ones like this, that break off from their main franchise, like "Skyrim Online" or this. Structurally, they're shadows of their single player counterparts. It's 90% fetch quests all to to build up your character to wear some fancy hat or whatever. It's so damn boring and tedious. Threw it in for kicks, and all I did was get this mission that had me deliver a package to a raider camp. Then I moved on to the main mission arc, where I just went to an airport and shot some ghouls and collected some research papers. Then I looked at the marketplace where you're supposed to spend the "points" you collect, and it's just a bunch of cosmetic shit and perks.

It feels like an experimental bonus mode for "Fallout 4". And that's not even touching on the technical hiccups. Everything has some weird delay, because it's on an online server that can barely keep up with your actions. Even the fucking dialogue prompts have a delay.

I Just Don't Get It/10

Damn. That reinstall hurts. The verdansk update alone was 50. I play on console

I only played for a hour or so. It played really slow but I didn't mind it. The game looks crisper too

Didn't like floor loot it seemed I was always hunting for a good gun and plates

Still Wakes The Deep

Pretty good so far. It's almost a walking simulator, but you get to play hide and seek with a monster. This is my kind of horror game. You don't have to mess around and start doing math on your inventory, or solve any stupidly confusing puzzles. You just plow forward and get through the next segment. It's a very cinematic game, with some light platforming and simple tasks to complete. What brings it all together is the writing and atmosphere. The characters are great, the setting is even better(a vast oil rig in the middle of nowhere), and despite it not being much of a "game", you will still feel the intensity when shit hits the fan.

I'd only take some points off for being a little too familiar. I won't completely spoil it, but let's just say that you've seen this stuff before, and John Carpenter probably wants some kudos for the inspiration.

All in all, pretty good stuff. I definitely wouldn't buy it at full price, as it seems like a one and done kind of experience, that will probably cap off at about 6 hours, but if you've got Game Pass or see it on sale for about $10, it's worth a look. For what it is, it's perfect. What it is, though, will leave some people wanting more. It'd be a perfect VR game, that's for sure.
