Been playing some Outriders with @Wrath of Foamy and a LOT of Final Fantasy VI remaster. Holy shit was worth the money the music alone is gold. So cot dame good.

Cyans theme. Chefs kiss.

Veldt track helps you make SERIOUS GAINS

Outriders was great, IMO. Good one for dawg collab.

When I have my living room set up, we can go for a trio. I have a level 15 Technomancer, World Tier 7 I think?

I've been playing a lot of old id shooters lately. Finished Doom 1 and 64 finally and now working on Doom 2. Also playing Return to Castle Wolfenstein... great game even for its age.

Trails Through Daybreak: Farewell O Zemuria (JP release)

I am a weak man. Told myself I would wait for the official english release of the latest Trails game, but saw that it was basically translated within a week, so I bought it.

Might be the longest game in the series, took me almost 70 hours (though of course I did every side event).

Holy shit so much happened. This was probably the most 'revealing; story they have done. Lot of unexplained stuff has some light shined on it, which of course meant a lot more questions popped up. Was really cool to see some of the long talked about characters (from like the second game) finally show up.

Was nice to see Rean and Crow again, but it was really cool to play Kevin again.

Lot of improvements in both the command and active battles. Active battles are quite smooth now.

I could go on a lot, but I really enjoyed it, and they surprised me at the end by showing there will be one more Van game.

Yea I heard the third one is incredible. I had one small thing spoiled reading online but not a huge deal but very interesting detail.

No matter what i play, i can't help but think how awesome Sekiro would be with this brand new, super clicky PS5 controller. I hate to pay $60 for a game I already own on Xbox though. I may try Nioh and hope that scratches the itch.

The Division 2

Back at it after taking a 5 year off fugue state. It's really clicking with me right now. I guess I wasn't feeling looter shooters back in 2020. Only tapped out after about 5 hours back then. I must say I am quite enjoying it now, with the new updates and I don't remember the music being this good either. The AI is still brain-dead but the game is still tough even though some deaths are cheap like enemies spawning behind you and instakillkng you.

Am level 18 currently and have almost all settlements maxed and 7/8 gadgets unlocked. Just need to get the shield. I like the Drone for healing and the mine for explosions. The foam gun was fun too as well as effective for the yellow heavies.

Any recommendations for gadgets? @Strychnine or @PRIDEWASBETTER ?

It depends on your play style. Run N' gun? St. Elmo's' engine exotic is all that and a bucket of wings. If you want to face-tank? Yeah, the shield is a very solid option. If you've unlocked "Ridgeway's Pride", that exotic chest piece coupled with a backpack that has the "creeping death" talent are super good.

If you're DPS focused, I feel that the revive hive is a must. They've really added a lot of talents and great gear to the game and oh man, the "Hotshot" gear set is just bonkers good if you're into sniping.

Rogue Gold
Tuxedo Bandido
Kamikaze Von Doom
Nothing but skills

They're content creators that I follow and get some great templates to build off of.

I usually play games for free on gamepass or wait till they're on sale, but I'll probably get AC shadows day 1. Plus I was reading there is a base building component so I'm sold af.

I bet it's totally fine, with it's real only fault being yet another AC open world RPG that gets old after a while. I tapped out on Valhalla after like 60 hours, but I couldn't really criticize all that much, other than just having too much shit going on that didn't quite keep me engaged enough to keep going. Certainly couldn't fault it for being light on content.

I think UBI made a mistake in falling for the online backlash. Should've just stayed quiet and released it, rather than put a spotlight on the controversies. It's AC. It will sell. From what I can tell, it's the same old shit for better or worse. Choose male or female character, and go climb some walls and kill a bunch of mobs n' shit.

The good thing is shadows is going to have a much smaller map than Valhalla, and more importantly focus on stealth gameplay like mirage.

I'll believe it when I see it, in terms of it's focus on stealth. I think it will lean more into the recent style, where it's there but not really necessary. Or perhaps one character focuses on it more than the other. I could see them using the chick for more of a stealth build.

Have you played Mirage?

No, but it seemed like more of an experimental bargain bin game, where they flirted with going back to its roots, just to see how well that style of game would go over. I don't believe it did that well(commercially or critically), and I'm pretty sure this game was in development before that one was, and was probably following the template that the prior trilogy did. I don't think Mirage's success or failure will have much to do with the blueprint of this game, though.

While Mirage was short, light on story and design depth... I enjoyed the game play quite a bit, especially over origins, Odyssey and Valhalla. I really like Origins and Odyssey for other reasons, but they weren't AC games imo.

Mirage gameplay reminded me more of Syndicate... Which is my favorite AC game of all time.

Finished up Ninja Gaiden 2 Black a couple of days ago, it was excellent. Incredibly satisfying, engaging combat, fair difficulty (played on Hard), looked beautiful with the fresh coat of paint. Every weapon was fun to use and I didn’t end up getting stuck with just one because they balanced all of them out so any way you want to play is feasible. Personal favorite were the claws, so fucking fun running through ninjas like I was Wolverine.

I’m probably going to play through it again on Master Ninja when I get the physical copy on PS5. Apparently it runs excellent on the Pro which is awesome because the Series X handled it pretty well.

The only downside I’ve seen is that this game is more based off of the PS3 release which lowered the enemy count but increased their health. Seems like a huge mistake, the game’s dismemberment system was built to tear through dozens of fodder soldiers. Shame, but from what I’ve also seen they did bring back the heavy gore from the original so it’s a bit of a blend of the original and the re-releases.

Oh and the camera is a nuisance at times.

Play it if you can if you’re a fan of challenging action games.
