Really sorry for the website fixes taking so long, guys. Hang tough. It sucks, I know, especially on mobile.

Thanks for staying active on-board throughout the process.

Finally got started on the infamous Bloodborne this morning. So far so good. I got to Father Gascoigne and he's absolutely kicking my ass. I guess this is the fight you're supposed to learn to use the gun on so i guess i"ll work on that. So far i like the world and the emphasis on shortcuts instead of checkkpoints. I really got to stop trying to block/parry though lol.

Do a little exploring, might even find a helping hand.

Started playing Metro Exodus. I like the game play more than stalker 2. You can actually play stealth and the enemies don't see you from miles away.

The map/compass thing is annoying and the crafting kinda sucks. It's like a low rent version of what deep silver offered in dead Island 2.

They have achievements. But a base game now comes with 1000/1000. And then if there is paid DLC or certain content updates they will add additional achievements. It's annoying to say I got the full 1540/1540 for example so I just say now "I got the platinum" cause there is no way to say completion on the Xbox architecture.

Kind of dumb I know.
How the hell did you get 98 percent in Forza horizon 5?

I just started playing it again. Crazy how many cars they added. Gotta get on that Eray time.

I got Redout Light Speed Edition

It's like a modern F-Zero

Cause I am hardcore like that I guess. I play usually once a week for the Forzathon.

IMHO one of the longest-running series with the most potential but has been the most repetitive has been Sniper Elite.
I've followed the series since the first game, but only played all the way through one of them on PS4 (can't remember which one) and it looked and played like a PS3 game.

A new sequel in the series is being released and... it looks and feels like a PS3 game.

Your character's voice sounds like Dollar Tree Jason Statham.

This didn't seem worth putting in another thread or making a new thread.

Nearing the end of Bloodborne (I think). Working on the DLC before i fight the 1st hunter. Fromsoft games are incredible and this one is no different however it's not my favorite. The world is a bit...."one note", the chalice dungeons are boring and the parry mechanic just doesnt do anything for me. May start up something else this weekend. Trying to decide between

Black Myth Wukong
GOW Ragnorak
Nioh
Demon Souls remake
Vampyr

Also, is it just me or is the battery life on the PS5 controller awful? I have to charge it almost every night. I used to charge my Xbox controller like once a week.

the haptic stuff on the ps5 controller is pretty awesome, but yeah, eats battery power like no one's business.

Star Wars: Jedi Survivor

I thought "Fallen Order" was fine, but in need of some work on a few things. Not too far into this one, but the combat seems to have been beefed up a bit, and stopped trying to be "Dark Souls" so much. The blueprint is still there, but it feels looser, where you can actually fight a mob of more than three enemies at a time. Looks absolutely amazing, too. This is one of the best looking franchises out there. The first one was a looker, and this one is even better. Outstanding visuals top to bottom(minus the same weird 'bug eye' effects on NPCs).

Story is good so far. Only beat the first section, but damn, there was a lot going on, and it all hit the right beats. It felt epic in scope as a jumping off point, and if it keeps that up it will quite memorable.

Level design...I don't know. It's not a good sign when I had a few moments of "where the fuck am I supposed to go?" in the first big section of the game. I don't know what it is, and the first game suffered from it as well, but there is just something about it that isn't very intuitive. I don't know if it's the color pallet or what, but you just hit these walls of confusion, where it's not exactly clear where you're supposed to be going and what you can climb or jump to and what you can't. It's quite literally the only franchise I can think of that has this issue. I wouldn't deem it a call for more "hand-holding", but just some clearer indications in the world that leads you down the optimal path. Like, I can tell the difference between interactive elements in the level in most games, but not here. Some walls look climbable and some others don't, but they still are...or might not be. Most games do this through indicators of some sort. This game seems to play fast and loose with that shit. Some things are obvious, and some aren't. It's weird.

Ultimately though, I'm having a lot of fun with it. Looking forward to really getting into it.

Did they clean up the performance? I played at launch and it was pretty buggy on Series X.

So far so good. The opening cinematic had some weird stuttering, but aside from that it's been smooth. I believe I read somewhere that they had mostly fixed the launch issues, like the random single digit frame rate drops and whatnot.

Finished Metro Exodus last night. Story was decent but would have been better if the dialogue wasn't annoying.

Got the good ending fortunately. The maps were okay but not my favorite design.

Downloaded Yakuza Kiwame 2 because free in gamepass. Not sure if I'll finish it but gonna play for nostalgia purposes.
Just finished Yakuza 0. Finished over 95% of the game, which I don't normally do, but most everything in the game was fun and it wasn't a chore to do it all. Aside from Kiwami 1 and 2, was the best game I've played in the series, unless you consider Judgment part of it, which I feel is better than any related game I've played. I'm on 6 now, and glad to be back to the Dragon Engine. 3, 4, and 5 were rough getting through. Will probably skip Like a Dragon and Infinite Wealth for a while, not looking forward to turn based RPG, and Yakuza Pirates is gonna be the GOAT, anyway, will finish 6 and go straight to that. Still have Ishin to play, too.

Been on a Tom Raider reboot kick. Currently on Shadows of the Tom Raider after beating TR and RotTR. so far so good. Definitely a different feel to it than the previous installments.

I played through the Soul Reaver remasters. Still love the first game, pretty meh on the second. Thinking back, it was a title I only played through once and didn’t remember anything about it. It feels like an incomplete game. I missed the unique dungeons of the first one, the boss encounters, the atmosphere. I was basically just wandering around the same few areas but with slightly different looks and enemies. Pretty disappointed tbh.

I’m now almost done with Ninja Gaiden 2 Black. Now that’s a game that still holds up. Ball bustingly difficult at times but rarely feels cheap. Incorporating fighting game mechanics into an action game like this was genius. I’m having more fun with it than I do when I go back to the first game. Brutal, satisfying combat that’s really ever only held back by the camera. The remaster looks stunning as well. Has me thoroughly hyped for Gaiden 4.
