Yes I downloaded it recently and deleted it for this very reason. As you age your patience for the more tedious stuff is limited. I don’t think I could tell you a story line for any game. I skip every convo I can.
Ah see the rdr 2 story is one for the ages. My wife used to sit there and watch me play it just to enjoy the movies and plot lines.

Gameplay wise there was a lot I wanted out of that game I didn’t get.

I enjoyed gang hideouts more in rdr 1, there’s needs to a fun “just shoot em up” type of game mode for these games.

I also felt making every single camp upgrade able except the ranch at the end was a huge mistake. Why not let me upgrade the ranch? Fill it with my own horses? Upgrade the barns and animal pens?

That final space was an opportunity to give great post storyline content and they just didn’t. WOMP WOMP

What games are you playing atm ? Have you played stray ?

Started playing Erenshor this morning. It's a simulated MMORPG that feels like EverQuest, but has a bunch of AI players running around you can group and interact with.

It's a super niche genre, but I'm loving it. I loved EQ back in the day, but my god did it consume all your time. I love the idea of MMO's, but I just can't dedicate the time these days.

Love being able to tap into that feel, but not be bound by time and available group members, then just turn it off when I want is super great. Looking forward to spending more time and leaving the starter area.

Love this game, played during the demo, looking forward to tapping into the whole thing soon

I’m playing bannerlord 2 right now currently trying to wrap up a save I’ve worked on for a long time, really enjoying that game right now. It’s one of my most played titles and trying to finish my longest standing playthrough because a DLC with a new faction and naval warfare drops in June and once I get that going I’ll probably not go back to this save where I’m doing a genghis khan type of playthrough. Im reaching the pinnacle of the game where my children are becoming warlords, and we’re closing down on a 2 way split between the two largest factions. Once we get there, the wars will be epic.

In the background I play grand turismo 7 which has been a game I’ve been playing for awhile. Fun to just flick on and mess around on various tracks when I get the racing itch.

I also have baldurs gate 3 for when I want something more plot driven.

I have not played stray, isn’t that the game where you become a cat and prowl the streets. Like street cat sim lmao? I heard it was really good just didn’t think I’d get into the concept. I take it your enjoying it?

Sooo as I'm going through Stellar Blade I am enjoying it quite a bit.

Always had this on my radar, as I tried the demo a while back but never got around to playing it until recently. Upgrading to a Pro and trading in my older PS5 gave me enough store credit to pick up a few games, and this was one of the PS5 Pro enhanced games I got.

Combat and controls are super tight, which I love. Even if the protagonist was some bum wearing torn up sweatpants I would still be into this game.

I found something funny in a mission where you have to access a lab in a wasteland. There's a guard at the entrance to the lab who you have to spar with so she can determine it you are qualified for the challenge ahead. This is a tough, yet rewarding battle, as it forces you to parry and counter effectively. Once you win the fight, the guard tells you that you are ready and she lets you inside. Once in there, YOU CAN ONLY USE YOUR GUNS.

So much for the qualification test. That's like forcing a prospective college student to turn in a 15 page paper on Shakespeare so they can do focused studies on math once they get in the door....

I got a VR headset as a gift (I think a Meta Quest 3S), so I got the VR Resident Evil 4. It's a little awkward, especially how it switches to third person when you do context-sensitive actions like melees or kicking open doors. But it is a ton of fun, and I am looking forward to playing through one of my favorite games in a new way. I've never played a VR game before, so actually having to grab a magazine, slap it in the pistol, then pull back the slide to reload took me by surprise. It's rad, and definitely adds some tension, too.

Beat Daybreak 2 this weekend. Nightmare run was much easier this time around compared to Daybreak 1. Apparently a lot of Trails community didn't like this game because it didn't advance the overall plot at all or much. Which to me the overall plot doesn't move much in these games as it is so I don't see the big deal.

I think the game was really great and this team is just getting better and better with their writing IMO. They are telling great stories and this arc has been so great about making it easy to follow. I loved the TOCS arc but man did it get convoluted and the cast got way to big.

I still don't have the platinum but that's just a matter of going through them and knocking them out 1 by 1. Mostly combat related trophies and some that will require grinding for items to upgrade my characters. I'll work on the plat slowly over the week .

Expedition 33 comes out this week. Depending on how it reviews I think that's going to be my next game. If it doesn't review well or is to buggy then I'll go back to finish Lies of P.

51 hours into Shadows and going strong. So much more to go. I've built a pretty epic hideout so far too. I should record a video of it.

I really enjoyed 2 as well. And like most of the time, it may not look like it is moving the story forward much at first, but the next game helps that out.

It looks like Expedition 33 is as good as it looks. Tomorrow cannot come soon enough

Yea I had a feeling 3 would do that and it can't come soon enough.

Expedition has been reviewing way better than I thought it would. About to purchase it now but I wont be able to really dive into it until Saturday.

Per Star Wars lore, do Jedi have normal human lifespans or longer?

Cal made a comment about this droid I’d found in Survivor being centuries old and got me thinking.

Pretty sure it depends on race, not being jedi.

Yoda was hundreds of years old, but most seem to have normal lifespans. Except for sith and such, who do not seem to follow any rules.

Khazan

Struggling my way through yet another "Soulslike" where I have no idea what is going on in the story, I don't understand half the mechanics and I dont have the time, patience, reflexes, or temperament for. The addiction is real.

I also downloaded Rogue City but I've been putting it off because I want to watch Robocop before I play.

Yeah these Soulslikes looks awesome but I tried Demons Souls and Dark Souls and realized I have nothing like the patience to git gud

Rogue City is a great time though, I think you'll enjoy it

Me I finished Black Mesa recently. I didn't dislike it, but as someone who has beaten the original Half Life multiple times the changes, big and small, stuck out like a sore thumb. Much of the game felt like it had been shortened to accomodate a much larger Xen, which seemed counter-productive to me since Xen just dragged even harder than it did in the OG game.

I'm also playing the Dead Space remake

And I'm gonna start Ghostwire: Tokyo and Gori: Cuddly Carnage this weekend

I've played through every Fromsoft game at least once plus Lies of P, Lords of the Fallen, Wo Long and a few others and I still feel like I absolutely suck at these games lol. They're addicting as hell though and I keep coming back to them.

Dead Space remake was awesome.

Still playing Jagged Alliance 3. It's fun if you like tactical turn based combat but the map itself is pretty big.It can get very annoying if you just want to engage in combat. It becomes a chore to defend bases and manage several teams. The story is sort of open ended and you have many choices.

The game has one of the best voice acting for each hired mercenary. It's not complex dialogue but they interact with each other. The combinations are somewhat endless.

GOG released breath of fire 4 for pc. Great PS1 jrpg. After Clair and Lunar, I'm all in.

10 bucks is also an acceptable price

Ghostwire: Tokyo was a bit iffy to get used to, but it was good. I really liked exploring it on foot and it could be very atmospheric. The school part was eerie.

It didn't last long. Cleared up all the side quests, completed the main game and briefly took part in the Roguelike after it. Did a few levels, wasn't feeling it that much, does and I installed. Main game was a good little romp though.

I didn't like it. I played a little bit of it and dropped it. The game is stylish but it didn't play well for me.
