Picked up this dirt cheap game called Sublevel Zero Redux. Never heard of it until yesterday when I saw it on sale. The info on the game was very minimal on the Xbox Store with only and handful of screenshots and no reviews, so I went on YT. Saw my dude Carrick from ACG do a review on it as well as Defunct Games. As soon ad I saw the gameplay I had to buy it. It's essentially a DESCENT clone. I absolutely loved Descent II back in the 90s on my PlayStation. One of my fave shooters of all time. That 6 degrees of freedom movement and it also being a prodecudurally generated game had me hooked. Only $4 CDN Dollars lol.

Also tried Shadow Warrior 2. Another co-op game by Devolver Digital. Hilarious dialogue and the gameplay is tight and crisp. Solid title and I will continue with that.

After spending more time with Below the jury is still out in it. It is a decent game, for sure, but the fact it has perma-death and survival elements really detracts from the overall enjoyment of the game.

I still have to play the first Shadow Warrior reboot. I loved the original back in 1997 or whatever.

Started another Bloodborne playthrough because my friend finally got it.

However, when I only have a few minutes to spare I have been playing this Early Access game on steam called SkaterXL.

Holy shit it is the most realistic skating game ever. Fuck EA Skate. This is the true game for skaters.

Started to make a dent in my backlog. Started God Eater 2 Rage Burst yesterday

Will have to check it out. I haven't played a skating game since like PS2 Tony Hawk or some shit. I was crazy about that shit as a kid

Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic

Playing this again on the One. Haven't played it in it's entirety since the OG Xbox days. Tried replaying it on the 360 years ago, but it ran like dogshit. Plays like butter on the One, and it's enhanced presentation and performance is pretty awesome. Those one second load times...

Anyways, it's still great. It's pretty remarkable at how well it holds up. Forgot about what a great, true RPG it is. Love the customization. Combat is...what it is. It's that weird hybrid of real time, and turn based D&D, that I think only "Dragon Age" still uses. It still works though. Other than that, I've noticed little things that have become a staple today, that weren't in this game. Mission waypoints for instance. What? I'm supposed to actually read my journal to find out where to go? Ridiculous.

But yeah, great game. I'm playing as the dumbest brute imaginable. Carth is getting sick of my shit.

I´m tempted to buy the South Park game for 17 bucks.
Anyone played that ?

Just finished the witcher 3 again...moving onto the dlcs agian
Has the combat held up upon return? And are you replaying it straight or choosing rather courses of action opposite to your prior run? I've shied away myself from ever replaying Wild Hunt because I don't want to like (read: love) it any less or start nitpicking in a way that only an elapsed novelty can allow. The magic of its first playthrough had me pretty much spellbound, for lack of a better term, and happily sinking just north of 300 hours into it. I want to keep it on that pedestal, however close-minded that makes me, lol. I usually don't like button-mashers but that game simply stole my heart and I did not care. Good times.

Looks great. Just checked it out. I love how they approach switch with the controls rightly inverting. It seemed like every trick is caught bolts though and gets the Sewa treatment. Are there sketchy landings, eating it primo, wheelbite and such or if you nail the input, are tricks picture-perfect every go? You mentioned how realistic it was; thought that sounded very cool.

Smash mostly. God I suck so much.

Also some kingdom hearts in preparation.

Tales of Vesperia next week will hopefully keep me busy until KH3.

I just finished Mortal Kombat X story mode. You gotta work at fighting games man. I sucked at first but I got a lot better by the end.

And to think I used to wreck in Tekken.

Gonna try Halo 5 this weekend. Been in BL long enough.

Just started Below. First impressions. The soundtrack is effin' phenomenal. I mean the game opens with this.

So how was this? Good call on the scoring. I remember looking into it and if I remember right, it seemed…in need of some darn light, lol. Just all the time dark or fogging, maze-like, and navigating at no more than a torch's glow at a time. My TV gives me a hard time visually with an odd few dimly-lit games. It must be privy to my dreams and know that Tomb of the Giants from DS1 haunts me to this day. It's 4K sadism, I tell you.

So far it's still very early to say just how many mechanics will be added (such as primo slides, caspers, or wheelbite).

There are sketchy landings (hell, sometimes I screw up a fliptrick during the flick and the board does a sloppy rocket looking flip instead haha) and there are plenty of different ways of locking into a trick or making it look like a particular skater's style such as catching a trick one footed, etc.
I mainly love the concept of having each stick control a separate foot, though. When I landed my first tre flip in the game it felt like when I learned them in real life. Scooping with the back foot and flicking with the front. Damn the game can hype you up with the most simple of tricks.

There are a TON of mods for it already including clothing, boards, and even entire skateparks. People have recently been modding certain mechanics as well so we might see some interesting things pop up soon.

Good stuff. Thanks. I skated for most of my life until a bad spill had me take a sabbatical and having turned 29, I had to put career before passion. Only ever got a local sponsor so knew I wasn't ever getting flow or higher elsewhere. Will forever carry the memories with me and still have Grizzly and Mob grip in my garage, ha. One of the most beautiful things ever to happen to me from Kalis to Pepe Martinez, RIP – skateboarding, brother.

It was honestly quite boring. I got a few levels down and the level design, enemies and scaled back isometric view all either were not interesting enough to stay around or flat out annoyed me. That OST was solid af though. Love me a good OST. Won't go back to Below however it was an easy 400/1000 so there is that.

Just finished Dead Space and was trying to play through Battlefield 3 but it's awful. It's such an annoying game. Every single enemy has perfect aim on you immediately. I just deleted it. Unfortunately that was the last of the three games I had on my PS3 error a broken down drive and no internet.

Playing the Gardens Between and Life is Strange 2 Chapter 1 since they were both free on Game Pass.

Finished most of AC Odyssey... just have to do the two paid DLCs at some point.

Also going to play Life is Strange Before the Storm once I'm done with these other two games... also was free on Game Pass.

Also happy I'll be able to finish TWD Final Season this month and I'm not going to be out half the money I paid for this game.

Thinking about picking up Wolfenstein II and/or Dishonored 2 from the PS store sale going on until 19.1 – any thoughts from dawgs who've played either? Both are currently in the 20-30€ range and have piqued my interest upon first glance. I'm also curious to know how many hours in general one's start-to-finish experience was.

The "RollerGames" arcade game. It is like the definition of arcade fun and really makes me wonder why there aren't many more Roller Derby games out there. Seems to be a no brainer for a videogame.
