Picked up Ninja Gaiden 4. I wasn't gonna start it until I finished Ghost of Yotei, but I couldn't help myself and played through the first chapter on normal. Oh boy, I'm already worried for my controller and my drywall.....

Blasphemous 2

Think I'm at the midway point. Only issue I have, is that it has a heavy "where the fuck do I go now?" element to it. I've been scratching my head a few times too many for my liking, but it always manages to come together. Took me a bit to realize that the little cutscenes after you beat a boss, is showing you that a new path has opened up. Ran around forever after this one guy, and then just stumbled upon a bridge that hadn't been there before, and was like "Oh' wait, that cutscene showed a ghost building coming down. Ahhh', I get it".

Beat some magic bitch boss that opened up some underground city, that I'm currently bumbling around in. Started off with some mini-boss who fucked off after a bit but will be back sometime down the road, I'm sure. Still bonking away with my mace. Still missing a few powers, but the double jump and dash have been highly rewarding(those blue chain things were really pissing me off). I still can't stand the damn "gauntlet" rooms, but at least they are manageable and not ass rape city, like "Silksong".

All in all, it's been a great time so far. Proper sequel.

This year has been wild. I normally slow down my gaming in the last couple of months each year but this year in particular has been one of the best in a long time. I've been playing nothing but indies lately. The two I'm currently playing are Sektori and Neon Inferno. Sektori is a twin stick shooter similar to Geometry Wars and made by an ex-Housemarque dev. Neon Inferno is a run-and-gun game that has two different lanes enemies attack you from. Kind of reminds me of Wild Guns with the gallery shooting gameplay. Both are awesome but extremely difficult even on easy settings. No way I'm getting platinum on these ones

December which is usually a dead month is also pretty stacked. 2025 has been the year of arcade beat'em ups for me. Marvel Cosmic Invasion has already been purchased but haven't played yet. Apparently there's also a Toxic Crusaders beat'em up releasing December 4 and then of course the Terminator 2D game is suppose to finally release on December 11 after countless delays. Oh and Skate Story drops on PS Extra December 9 which could be neat.

I feel bad for Ghost of Yotei. I was so into it and dumped like 20 hours into it in the first week but haven't been back to it since then. I just got hit with indie after indie and I find them so much more satisfying to play in the small 30 to 45 minute gaming sessions I have. Sadly been more busy with work lately and so these shorter games have been appealing to me a lot more.

Great action game, kind of mediocre in everything else though sadly. Khazan First Berserker still my favorite action game of the year. Absolutely got snubbed at The Game Awards.

Khazan was awesome. Ghost of Yotei is my personal GOTY though.

Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name - Signed up to PS+ and finished this game. I stopped when I was like 3 chapters deep. Game overall wasn't that great and I think it was rumored to be DLC for Infinite wealth at one point and it shows. That ending though hit hard I wont lie and almost made up for the whole thing. I also didn't realize Kiryu was one of the MCs in Infinite Wealth until the end of this game. They can't just let this man rest.

Ryza 2 - Started this up and I'm over halfway through it. This game is honestly a step down in almost everyway from the first game which is surprising. It's still a good game overall and I'm enjoying just thought the first one was better. The story\world building is still good and on par with Ryza 1.

I'll get the plat for Ryza 2 and then I'll be moving on to Ys 9. I beat the first boss in Ys 9 before deciding I wanted to knock out Ryza 2 so I can eventually play Ryza 3 on PS+ before it leaves.

Honestly right now I'm into Unicorn Overlord. I've always loved Vanilla Software but I can't remember what happened when this first came out. Picked it up, loved it, and I think life just got busy.

The stuff you can do with tactics is just incredible. I have a few unit builds that turned out so well I wrote them down. So much fun to make teams that can be gold or garbage depending on how you target and prioritize. I've had one or two lovely mistakes. And the art and music are top notch.

I picked up Final Fantasy XVI on sale. So far I'm loving it. Of course I'm almost always playing The Bunker.

Play The Bunker.

Went to play the expansion for fallout76 tonight, and unsurprisingly the servers are down... And apparently theyve been down for 10 hours now. Never change bugthesda

Who is down to buy some Mansions in GTA Online so you can drink some Green Juice and walk around for 5 mins and never use it again??

Let me guess... They want like $10,000,000 of in game cash for one lol

I tried it on PS+ and I hated the way my units were just automatically doing things. I know JRPGs don't have much interaction but to outright just remove all interaction in battles was to much for me.

Oh probably.. DLC isn't out yet though. It's fun to speculate. I was thinking more like 20 million but they would probably have to make new Shark cards for that though and a new ultra GTA+ membership tier lol

I guess with VI being delayed so much they'll probably get more people dumping money into this

I thought that Man Who Erased His Name was quite a solid Yakuza game. Story was a bit middling until the gut-wrenching end, but it has a good variety of mini-games and side quests and the combat is fun. I thought that the side quests were well organised as well.

Only gripe is that it was set in Sotenbori and only Sotenbori, which is a beautiful, yet very small and simple map.

I would have paid around £30 for it.

There's not much of a husk left to milk at this point @TeTe

I guess rockstar is just mad that the Game Awards don't give them the best ongoing game nom every year like fortnite or League so that's why they delayed 6.

Ghost of Yotei 9/10

I haven't enjoyed getting lost in a game world this much in awhile, probably since Elden Ring. Just finished the main story and I think I fast traveled twice in 45 hours of playtime. I thought the story was good, which I see people complaining about being too "simple". My personal GOTY. I hope that have DLC coming.

On to Ninja Gaiden 4

Bannerlord: Warsails

The new DLC heavily anticipated brings naval combat to bannerlord as well as a new faction, storyline, many new units, many new items.

The Nord units and playstyle is quite fun to try out. I’m currently enjoying a playthrough as a Nord raider, and had my first non story naval combat last night which was quite fun, though it seems like a lot of resources are required to get to the point where you can raid naval vessels reliably, to the point where your need for the resources being claimed isn’t quite as outstanding, but I’m sticking with the RP on this one.

The new units and map bring a lot more diversity to the gameplay and the devs rebalanced some units to prevent some of the lopsided battles from before.

In OG bannerlord vlandian (British) cavalry was OP, so was the Khuzait (mongols) khans guard mounted bow unit, and the Battania (Scotland) Battania Fian Champion bow units. Those three units were so much superior that it was nearly impossible to counter. Now they’ve nerfed them and provided rebalancing to make mounted units more susceptible to bow fire which was needed as there was almost no strategic benefit to flanking and targeting archers as their damage output against a mounted flank charge targeted at infantry was low. Now if you take bow fire the entire time you’re likely to take casualties significantly. So you have to be more strategic. You can’t just kite out infantry with mounted bow units and ignore archers, or flank with no regard for them.

they are patching this every day to rebalance and add more. The highlight is probably the ocean and ship physics. Trying to aim your bow or javelin while the two ships get crashed into by waves, needing to take wind into account for speed and flanking, and the fire mechanic for the boats makes it a complete medieval naval battle sim. 8/10 for now, but I think once they finish patching my rating will be higher.

Chopper Command on Atari 2600. Still like it better than Defender on 2600.
