oh yea, not to take anything away from him in the movie. it was and still is an awesome display of
Perhaps they were amateur bouts or exhibitions. Perhaps it didn't happen. Considering his commitment to his roles I'm sure he didn't get at least spare with other novices as well as his trainer.
Oh well. He looked good in the movie at least.
Jake Gyllenhaal had some skills, Carl Weathers looked like he knew what he was doing. I don't know if it's fair to count Mickey Rourke, because he went on to compete professionally.
Jake looked terrible, so stiff with no natural flow
Obviously woody harrelson and Antonio banderas
I think that we should confine this thread to actors who learned boxing for the movies instead of professional boxers who were brought in for 1 movie because of their pre-existing boxing skills when they wouldn't have any other type of acting role.
my old boxing coach trained with him before he did the whole rocky movie. He was cocky but humbled pretty fast after getting knocked around a bit.TBF Appollo moved pretty well.
Rocky seriously looked like someone who has been boxing for 3 months.
