What’s next for Dustin Poirier?

Arman Tsarukyan would be a great matchup.

Adds a spicy cajun ketchup to his condiment collection
Beating Beneil in April-May and fighting Islam in Oct-Nov would’ve been the way to go in my humble opinion.
Yea, Islam will need a comeback fight after he gets stopped by Volk.

Great fighter, but he's also basically clogging up the LW rankings. He sounds like he's done chasing a title, but he's obviously not far away from it either. He's in a weird spot where he's probably going to pull a Colby and hog it up for as long as he can. They really need to move away from the Dustin>Justin>Chandler matchups and give the rest of the division a chance, and if not they should give up rank for money fights.

He's going to sit back and wait. He only wants big money fights and unless he's horrible with money management, he shouldn't be in a rush to fight for money. Maybe he should bulk up and try getting the WW belt since he may be out of title attempts at LW. Even if the title changes hands there will be other fighters above him since he's had 2 chances already with 2 different champions.

How about Lee wins at least one fight to even get in the damn rankings first
Diego Sanchez was his latest "scalp". That's a marquee name. FKL is a name, almost like Conor and Nate. He going front of the line

Poirier vs. Covington seems like long overdue.
He's looking for money fights so outside of a McGregor fight that's certainly the one to gun for.

For the people saying Arman they're training partners so I doubt they'll fight.
Arman was brought in for the Khabib fight alone. It was only a month ago that Arman was saying Poirier, Chandler, and Gaethje should all retire because all they do is fight each other and take up space, so I don't think he'd refuse to fight him

Never understood the appeal behind Dustin vs Colby. Always just seemed like an excuse for Colby to continue to duck the contenders in his own division.

Well as cheap as it sounds all that filth Colby's spewed over the years and Dustin's open distaste for the guy make for a good buildup.
Colby probably takes that though

I think it’s funny watching ppl who want to hurt Colby not be able to

also interesting to see if dp ground game /tdd is enough to keep Colby standing and when it is standing who’s winning on the feet

Dustin is gonna be selling hot sauce until a big money opponent presents itself.

Dustin Poirier is in an awkward position.

-Dariush is rumoured to fight Oliveira
-Gaethje is fighting Fiziev
-McGregor is filming TUF with Chandler
-Nate Diaz left the UFC
-Colby is rumoured to fight Belal

He doesn’t have a lot of big fight options in front of him in the near future.

He might try to wait for a title shot, but it’s not sure he gets it next. Gaethje and Fiziev are fighting in March and the winner won’t be ready till at least August - September.

If Poirier wants to fight soon, he’s looking at Mateusz Gamrot or Arman Tsarukyan, but I doubt these are the "big fights" he’s looking for.

He backed himself into a corner by refusing to fight Beneil and will probably not fight till late 2023 as a consequence.

What’s your prediction for Dustin Poirier’s next opponent?

A lot of people are already booked, so it makes it hard to tell.

Should fight Dana for the Dog Fight Mo Fo Championship belt. Might be the chump/champ:
