Beating Eddie Alvarez and Justin Gaethje was a tremendous statement that Dustin was the real deal at 155 and not someone to overlook.
Having watched Dustin since fight ville he was long on my radar but you never REALLY know if a guy has the minerals against the best of the best until they prove it at the top level.
Dustin had a great run at 145, but stumbled against KZ and Conor. At 55 he had some setbacks, got caught by Michael Johnson... but built himself back up and for me at least when he beat Eddie, said "don't boo this man he is a warrior" and started taking out proven top guys at 155 that's when it was carved in stone Dustin was a legit elite 155er.
