Social Wes Watson is doing really good for himself

Or, the ex con creator phase died off.

The view count fell off a cliff. One day, videos are all 100K+ views each. The next day, view counts under are under 10K. I'm guessing the remaining ~10K were searching his channel name specifically. Way too drastic to be organic. Someone didn't like what he was saying and he got put on a list that the algorithm will never promote imo.

And that applies to ALL the ex con creators. It was a massive wave during covid.

The shadowban was prior to Covid, circa 2019. I'm not seeing that. Look at Matthew Cox for example. Similar subscriber count. He has lots of recent videos that are 100K views. Meanwhile Fresh Out has under 5K on all their new videos. It doesn't make sense. 500K subscribers, but less than 5K are clicking? I don't think they're getting the notification.

I watched several Fresh Out videos and then just got bored with it. I imagine that a lot of people are like me; they find the Fresh Out genre interesting for awhile and then lose interest and never really revisit it again.

No idea about the shadow ban thing. It could be true, but I am not sure because I don't recall if YT's algorithm stopped recommending his videos.

Well I was certainly wrong about Wes Watson, and have changed my views on him from when I made this thread 2 years ago.

Well.. he went from "Don't go to prison" stories and then went full "I have more money than you.. give me more money.. alpha male shit.. etc"

His prison stores appear to be seriously embellished and just plain made up. Here a guy who served time with Wes and calls out Wes's B.S.

Spencer Cornelia also exposed Wes

Brother, I'm telling you. There was a TON of them. Lockdown23+1, savage studios, badger, etc. It was HUGE for a minute. Everyone that ever did time in prison was creating a channel and getting tons of views. If your argument was the entirety of the genre was shadowbanned as a means to prevent the general public finding out how terrible prison is? Id agree. But they sure ain't singling out one creator.
