While I don't agree with how Trump handles some things but he was so much better then the democrats platform and the the cackling hen and tampon Tim that the choice was very clear.
Exactly. It's kind of alarming there's even a debate on this, if we're assuming it's genuine.

Never voted but find the religion of politics super interesting.

for a quick second i thought Pelosi herself considered taking up the candidacy <{clintugh}>

but yeah, seems everyone knew Kamala was not good. so then why didnt they try for Josh Shapiro, who was quite liked amongst the party? hell, they couldve even gone with Pete Buttigieg. (although apparently according to Kamala's book, he's gay so that wouldnt work )

its gonna be really interesting to see who is on the ballot in 2028 for both Dems and Repubs. Trump is gonna leave a huge void that i dont see anyone currently being able to fill.

Josh Shapiro wasn't selected because of Israel. They knew a good chunk of the base were against the war. Openly pushing Shapiro would have resulted in more dissent from the Democratic base.

And seeing what a clusterfuck Israel has turned into, they were right about that at least.

Shapiro would’ve been smart enough to wait for a better opportunity

Not regretting Trump at this point means you’re straight up retarded. And if you think otherwise prove it to me. So far every MAGA poster just disappears when I press them on it. At this point I think they know it too but the ego is one hell of a thing.

I wasn't voting for Harris regardless, and my #1 issue with Trump was his divisive, immature, petty trolling.

I picked him as the lesser of 2 evils, and I wish I had voted for another "pro-life, secure the border" candidate instead.

Rather than letting political BS live in my head 24/7, ruining my day-to-day life like alot of Trump-haters, I don't hate anyone, and I try to see humor in the absurdity of life's backwardness.

Im a cynical independent, and in my eyes, they're all egotistical and incompetent. I assume most are crooks as well

Make no mistake about it. Everybody getting rich on a career in politics is a crook. Most of them are inside trading and they’re all voting based on self and special interests.

I do think the Democrats likely have some talented people they could put forward. But they have to quit trying to force things like the first woman president or the first minority woman president before it's time. Barack Obama was a junior senator and just kind of came out of nowhere because of his speaking ability. They need to let the process play out naturally imo. I think you are also right about Josh. Way too much Israel stuff at the forefront for him to likely get elected

I mean you act like it was planned for Kamala to run.

They had a geriatric incumbent who refused to step down. I don't think anybody was forcing anything lol. Biden just kinda left them with a shit sandwich and the VP was the only real choice they had.

That wasn’t Biden’s fault. That was the DNC’s fault, the 2020 primary saw all of them simultaneously drop out and endorse Biden. There’s no way that wasn’t ordered from above. They set themselves up for failure by being short sighted

Well even her in there as VP (Biden saying black woman) was a thing and they likely were hoping she would end up more popular to get in there as president. 2016 bernie situation... Trump could have been beaten both times imo and Biden would have beaten Trump in 2016 given his moderate track record and sharper mind then. Biden did them no favors in this one but they didnt really press him til the end when it was hopeless. Then Kamala had no primary... it was just a mess.

There was time for a primary. If anything, Biden, as a parting gift, put them in a tough spot by immediately endorsing Harris for the spot. The Dems really didn't choose her. Biden did...publicly. They couldn't really go back after that. I believe it was even reported that the heads of the party were taken aback by that move. Biden tossed them that hand grenade on his way out the door, LOL.

this poll is so fucking retarded in its political brainwashed idiocy there is no option for i have been able to vote for decades and never did because people who vote and participate in "politics" in america are the lowest form of monkey there is

Excellent point.

Mods: Can you add “I’m a retard with nothing relevant to add to the discussion.” as a poll option?

Biden fucked them... He was bitter about being forced out and dumped Kamala on them

Then he sabotaged her during her run

I blame Jill Biden... she always hated Kamala ever since the 2000 Election Primaries
