If you think that the choices on the ballot are bad then I think the solution would be a write in campaign for a candidate not on the ballot. A site like ranker could be used to choose the best right wing candidate not on the ballot and the best left wing candidate not on the ballot.

Pretty wild but the Democrats literally have no one that can win and the DNC platform is so far extreme left, that they don't appeal to the vast majority of the U.S.

What blows my mind is that the best options put forward were Trump and Biden (followed by Harris). We should be highly ashamed of that. And what is worse is the people that glaze Trump and make him their whole identity.

Eh, that's why something called the primaries exist. Harris yes you can argue this because she didn't have to go through a primary for her nomination but both Trump and Biden did. If the country didn't want either, they wouldn't have won their primaries. Unfortunately most people don't even bother voting in the general, let alone the primaries.

Well even her in there as VP (Biden saying black woman) was a thing and they likely were hoping she would end up more popular to get in there as president. 2016 bernie situation... Trump could have been beaten both times imo and Biden would have beaten Trump in 2016 given his moderate track record and sharper mind then. Biden did them no favors in this one but they didnt really press him til the end when it was hopeless. Then Kamala had no primary... it was just a mess.

Kamala Harris is not a strong leader imo. So I understand why people had almost had no choice to vote for Trump.

But now that we have time to look back in hindsight, does anyone here wish they didn't vote for Trump?

Biden/the dnc canceled an election entirely . There wasn't a civil war. The left went right along with it and voted blue no matter who and still continue to act like it was no big deal and they are the one true party of democracy.

It's not that he was the lesser of 2 evils. It's that the other contender wasn't legitimate.

Trump was nominated by the people. Even though he had a very embarrassing tantrum he still accepted the results of the election and Biden became president. He was then nominated by the people again. Where as kamala was a dei hire who never had the will of the people as evidenced by her results in the primary and was given the nomination after denying the people a say in who should be the nomination. Trump is the lesser of 2 evils because he went through the process and kamala didn't. We can't be rewarding what Biden and the democrats did or that's how they are going to do things going forward and you will never see a Bernie or aoc type candidate get an opportunity.

Yeah the primaries aren't perfect but its all we have if we truly want to pick who our candidates are. The bigger problem is people either A. don't care enough about politics to even vote or B. see it as a team sport and vote against their best interests if it means their team wins. The DNC isn't innocent either, they torpedoed Bernie twice (more so in 2016.) I think it's impossible to get a candidate that is actually truly for the people at this point.
