Dunno, it pretty much went exactly like everyone thought it would. Stipe showed the reflexes and agility of a glacier. Jones mixed up a lot of different attacks, but didn't look especially fast either, so it's hard to say if the same stuff would have landed on someone who wasn't that old and slow.

Yall gon be on here looking like you're watching a live execution when you see Bones smiling and beating up Tom lol

I was impressed with him in the first round.

I don't think he looked in great shape. But that can be fixed for a tougher fight maybe.

Dont know enough about Aspinall but he looks formidable no doubt. Jones surprised me tonight with the pop in his punches

People are still hoping Jones gets out struck or taken down as if either have happened yet.

He should retire on top, big that’s not an endorsement of Tom
The way he fought Stipe tonight was kind of like how he hurt Shogun early and then had his way, but with all that experience.

I'm not a Jones fan, but he had that fight in the bag after the first shot.

So where exactly do you think Tom or someone else wins?

Thanks for admitting you lost the debate. Classic resorting to personal attacks.
Where do you think Jon loses? Is it standing or on the ground?

We call you retards because it’s been 16 years and you still can’t identify where Jones is actually supposed to lose your make belief fights.

Have fun Peter Pan!

No doubt he looked good, he was able to avoid stipes power shots and slip a few, never thought hed have success with that. Stipe looked frusturated as hell.

A duck is a duck. The reason is irrelevant.
So are you saying Jones ducked because him and the ufc didn't throw Stipe out of a match they already had booked

And already had a full camp for, long before Tom came into the picture?

Was Tom ever offered as an opponent? Can you provide any proof that he officially ducked anyone?

Jones looked good. Better than I expected, but it's pretty hard to judge any further than that because of how bad Stipe looked. My expectations for Stipe were really tow - higher class punching bag than Mike Tyson - and Stipe didn't manage to meet them.

That said, that back kick was a thing of beauty. Great technique, and absolutely perfect placement - heel-to-bottom-rib, just far enough off the side of the body for the contact to be flush.

Jones has already lost a fight, and he had very questionable decisions against Gustaffsson and Reyes. He also could have lost the fight against Anthony Smith for the blatant knee foul. He's been very lucky to win as many fights as he has.

Again, let's see him defend against Aspinall. He made an early career off beating ageing legends. Now let's see him give the younger generation their opportunity.

The fight wasn't "already booked". They (the UFC) re-booked it after Aspinall won the interim title and they shouldn't have.

And trust me, Jon Jones is a coward and a sociopath. His criminal and PED failure history has proven that. He will proceed to refuse to vacate the HW title and duck Aspinall for the next 12 months. I'd shut your mouth and wait for this to play out.

Why? Jones owes nothing to no name Asspinal

Actually he does... Tom is the interim champ, you should not be able to have a champ and an interim champ fighting.... Normally the champ should fight the interim champ to unify the belts..

No, Jon was fat and nowhere near as good as he has been.

At this stage of his career and fitness, he'll have his work cut out for him if he fights Tom

Didn't mention Tom or anyone else in my post, only that Stipe was too slow to get out of the way of anything, but there were like half a dozen spots where Stipe tried to move in with punches and was too slow to close the distance, where Tom would have been able to.
