There's not a person on this site that's beating Stipe Miocic.
Wouldn't be so sure about that. The Stipe you're talking about is dead.

This Stipe doesn't beat anyone in the top 15, thats for motherfucking sure.

The stationary punching bag made him look good? Color me shocked. Next you'll say he looks good on pad work.

Stipe looked so slow. A lot of great HWs from today and of the past would have hurt this version of Stipe badly. Jones took care of business but the things he got away with tonight he wouldn't have got away with against Tom. He wouldn't have got away with it against prime Fedor, prime Cain and prime JDS. They're too fast and too relentless for that turn your back and run away shit to work. But good on Jones for the win. Let's hope he does what's right.

Jones has already lost a fight, and he had very questionable decisions against Gustaffsson and Reyes. He also could have lost the fight against Anthony Smith for the blatant knee foul. He's been very lucky to win as many fights as he has.

Again, let's see him defend against Aspinall. He made an early career off beating ageing legends. Now let's see him give the younger generation their opportunity.

Didn't mention Tom or anyone else in my post, only that Stipe was too slow to get out of the way of anything, but there were like half a dozen spots where Stipe tried to move in with punches and was too slow to close the distance, where Tom would have been able to.
Good for you Peter Pan for saying Jon maybe will finally lose at 38 after 16 years.

Real great argument Officer Duffy. Can’t wait to see how you treated other GOATS, I’m sure sure this won’t be horrifically embarrassing for you.

You probably said Ngannou looked great 2 weeks ago after beating Renan.

Sit down soy boy.

You sound like you might need to sober up.

I see a lot of noobs posting in these threads tonite .These New gen posters are whack.

Jones was impressive against old man Stipe who is always a dangerous fight for anyone. Stipe never looked impressive most of his career lets be honest, yet look at the resume he has.

Jones made him look THAT bad. That trip takedown was incredible. That ground and pound was vicious. Fedor was was trowing bombs in the gnp but Jones looks even nastier with his elbows in that position.

Jones is 37, visibly not in his prime as well lets be honest but he's still the most dynamic and complete fighter in the roster , and that's insane to me. People still haven't caught up to him in all these years.

If it wasn't for those numerous asterisks in his career Jones would be the undisputed GOAT of the sport. Hell, even with those asterisks he might be the GOAT. He's just that good.

Jones looked as smart and mean as ever. But he looked slow and plodding on the feet outside of the occasional explosive effort.

Does this work against Aspinall? I don't think so. BUT - was he just matching Stipe's pace and doing what he needs to do? I think he has a far more grappling heavy strategy against Aspinall. And we don't know what Aspinall looks like after he's been on the bottom defending submissions and elbows for 3-4 minutes. I bet Stipe would've looked way better if he didn't get the shit beaten out of him in round one.

Jones vs Aspinall is the fight we need to see. The best fighter of all time at the tail end of his prime as a heavyweight vs an incredibly talented, powerful and gargantuan heavyweight just entering his prime.

Stipe should have called time after winning the trilogy with DC. He turned 38 a few days after that fight and was already on a visible decline

He fought a 42 year old who hadnt won a fight in 4 years and he performed worse than Ngannou did 3 years ago. They both looked slow and plodding but Jones was just better. It was a decent win but I don't believe for a second that he is the best heavyweight in the world. I sincerely hope Dana pays him enough to keep fighting and face Aspinall.

I had no doubt jones was gonna win in brutal format. I wasn't impressed as this was suppose to happen to a 41 year old inactive fighter. The only fighter less active then jones in HW is stipe.

it was an impressive performance. Did Jones take any damage at all?

It's easy to look good against a 41 year old fighter who hasn't fought in 3 years plus and has a lot of mileage on his career

If you know what you're watching you were impressed. Yes Stipe is past his prime but so is Bones and he's coming off an injury. Literally the most skilled and vicious fighter I ever seen. He's unbeatable.

Been watching since 2000.

Jones did not look impressive. His opponent was just that bad. Stipe literally did NOTHING that looked elite, yet he still hit Jon and few times.

ANYBODY can look impressive fighting a 42 year old with obvious CTE, that moves like a walking dead zombie.

The most impressive thing Jon has done at heavy weight is cherry pick fights. It's insane.

Calling him unbeatable is the most casual thing ever. Tom dog walks him.
