That's mostly because he didn't really compete for very long and his style was pretty boring most of the time. I think he only had like 1 or 2 subs ever in submission grappling and only like a dozen or so matches...
Boring or controlling style no doubt but he’s got three medals. all time adcc record is four titles by Marcelo Garcia. The fact he got three medals with no point allowed let alone a loss ever should get him some mention in submission grappling greats but it never did.

MMA fans care more about how much money a fighter gets payed, then how good their fighting skills are.

i cant give yall likes because a certain mod is a menstrual pussy, but im doing it in spirit.
How come 99% of the mods are cool relaxed and tolerant and then you have one or two that don't follow the same mod style and want to enforce everything to the letter? It's so subjective but there should be a bit more consistency between mods and what they consider to be an unforgiving infraction.

Meh, partly because of the era too, it was pretty much brand new in 2000-2001 and the field of competitors was not very deep. ADCC is not the end all be all of submission grappling, and like I said Arona didn't every really compete other than 2 years of ADCC. Not enough of a sample size to mention him with sub grappling greats.

crocop submitted randleman

randleman knocked out crocop

It's this kind of poetry that proves Meryl Streep was wrong about MMA not being part of The Arts
