Does any family line represent the devolution of the GOP more than the Romney's

George was the standard bearer for the civil rights arm of the GOP

Mitt has shown himself to have zero backbone and will say anything to get elected.

Ronna is a full throated Trumper.

It should be historically exonerating of the left that not a single Republican actually in office has stood against Trump, except for an obscure House Rep from Michigan. It should show that Republicans didn't simply lose their integrity: they never had it. All those decades of both sidesism were just a charade.

I don't know, I saw ICP in 2000 I think it was. At the after party for a local street race. They seemed out of place (musically), but weren't the most offensive thing I heard that night. There were no noticeable juggalos around then though.
I don't like them because they've turned their personal style and American "white trash"/rural poverty into an aesthetic (which I do admittedly think is awful) and it's been exported here, out of any context that makes sense.
I felt the same about people here that thought "gangsta rap" was a lifestyle choice.
Of course I'm overwhelmingly not a fan of American cultural, religious and political influence on Australia.

Not that it really matters or that you should be reasonably expected to know the difference, but I don't think "rural poverty" is very accurate, particularly since the group took hold in a post-industrial urban cultural center. As far as I can tell, ICP is an artifact of cultural disenfranchisement among of the white working class. And that, while the white working class is disproportionately rural, the rural nature isn't really operative or indispensable. From the little of ICP that I have heard, the angst is palpable and of the kind that you would find in "better" art but which is presented in more ham-fisted and non-artful ways because, as a matter of inference, the consumers are less intelligent and less likely to fully understand such angst but nevertheless not less likely to feel it.

Specifically, I can think of three ICP songs: the "what is a juggalo" song, a song about floppy breasts, and, most vividly, a song I just verified to be called "Under the Moon," which tells the story of a high school outcast who falls in love with a girl, then murders a guy for trying to rape her, and then dies alone in prison. That third song tells a story with real human themes - adversity, love, loyalty, betrayal, etc. - but does so in a way that is, and I verified this as well, completely off-putting to someone who is not somewhat simple. Kind of like how a lot of action-drama films like Law Abiding Citizen are really moving to not-so-intelligent people but are offensively bad to persons in less need of pandering.

Only when I'm in my furry costume.

Anything goes

I still struggle to believe that furries are actually a thing.
I guess I must still have a vestige of belief in humanity left lurking in some dark, forgotten chamber of my mind.

Yeah, hard pass for me on that baloney
But it's also important to not just spew aggression. Best thing most of the time is to insult the opinions and behavior while selectively mixing in more targeted and colorful direct attacks

I'd still take the one that spews aggression.

It's like choosing between a politician and a gangster. At least the gangster will admit he's a gangster

I'm a circus person, it doesn't phase me in the slightest.

I've had sex in costume before. If my girl wants to have a few drinks throw on some Woodland creature costumes and go at it, fine by me

I've actually been on stage in a cheap teddy bear ass looking monkey costume. In the show my parents were in the audience.

I've been fresh out of Shame for decades

Plenty of posters won't engage in personal attacks, but they'll hit the like button on serious personal attacks.

It's a great way to express your dislike for someone without damaging your ima nice guy posting persona.

And by great, I mean bullshit.
Is it? Or is it a way of saying I agree with this post in an unspecific manner. I’ve seen people like posts ironically.
The like police is one fo the biggest butt hurt pussy positions I’ve seen on this board in 10 years. And that includes the No Fap Brotherhood.

I played a caveman in a school play. Loincloth, dude. Get the fuck outta here with your bear/monkey costume shame.

Whether it originated as an urban or rural "white trash" aesthetic I guess doesn't really matter, so much as the fact that Australia's socioeconomic and cultural landscape is a lot... flatter. Still. Despite the increasing polarisation since the '90s.
Whether it's outer suburban supermarket cashiers or unemployed youth in rural towns, I can understand how they might empathise to some extent. Likewise abusive families and other such issues are pretty universal. Little different though to how any teenager empathises with struggles with authority and feelings of oppression, but that really shouldn't give them a licence to start roleplaying as a hard bitten "gangsta" from ghettos that don't even remotely exist here.
Likewise (although to a lesser degree) there is no comparable cultural disenfranchisement of the white working class in Australia to provide any legitimate context for the ICP aesthetic. You'd have to aspire to it.
The rural-urban divide is about as broad as the distinction gets here, and it's still not that broad. Bogans aren't really some distinct socioeconomic group, it's more of a sliding scale, and that's economic as well as cultural.
Hence the prevalence of "CUBs". Cashed Up Bogans.

As someone who’s worked in a jail I can assure you gangsters never admit they’re a gangster, no matter how obvious. Deny, deny, deny is all almost any criminal will do until they’re ready to leave the life or it won’t make any difference to their housing/sentencing/whatever.

I wish you were right and every gangster said, “yes I’m a gangster and I committed that crime.” But no...

Yeah "like" policing is lame. Take note of who likes what posts but to call people out on it seems silly since there can be many motivations to like posts. I even like @The ScorpioN's posts sometimes and he's someone I'd never help cross a river.

Honestly sometimes I "like" posts just because I know it'll piss certain posters off.

Whenever you like one of my posts, I automatically think "This is part of a bigger operation"

I think almost all of my likes are just, "I have read your post, but I don't think I need to reply"
when someone quotes me.

1 ....... its just a saying

2 well of course no one's gonna admit it to the law.

1) I've never heard that saying. Guess it didn’t make it out to Hawaii yet

2) I’m sure politicians admit their crimes to their accomplices as well. Doesn’t mean much.

Not every like matters, but ones insulting a poster we can already observe you don't like is pretty obvious in its intentions.

And its silly to act like this doesn't happen, or use "like police" to dismiss the argument.
