You know that to have a ruling overturned they have to agree to hear a case that uses that opinion as the basis for a decision right and rule against the decision supported by the prior ruling right?

Yes. The new bloc will be eager to overturn bad precedent. Thomas and his ilk have a very different understanding of stare decisis than even Scalia did.

I know Scalia isn't viewed real well but I always enjoy reading his dissenting opinions for how, well, brash they are and politely calling his coworkers idiots basically.

He was a pretty talented guy and had some very good opinions. Thomas has quite literally never had a convincing or impressive opinion.

I have Scalia's book someplace in a stack of books I left at my folks house I haven't gotten around to reading. The one that was published shortly after his death.

The dissenting opinion I cited does not have force of law because Ginsburg and pals ruled that the federal government does have the authority to regulate marijuana for personal use. Another Trump appointment and that ruling will be overturned.

Did you agree with the majority in Dred Scott? I hope not. It was wrong at the time and it's still wrong now.

Yeah. She's definitely in the tier that doesn't have a chance and I hope more non Biden/Bernie/Harris/Butt drop out very soon, but I didn't expect her to be one of the first there rather than holding on longer.

Wonder who she ends up endorsing. That could give a little bump. Also wonder if she's trying for AG cabinet position or will just go back to being Senator.

If I watch YouTube on my smart TV or on like my phone there's no way to get an ad blocker.

On computer I don't.

Like, I was watching multiple Wildcat vids last night on my phone and EVERY SINGLE ONE had a fucking Bloomberg ad.

That has to be annoying. I only watch on my PC or tablet due to all the ads.

I was home with my folks for Thanksgiving and they always have the TV on. Every fucking commercial break wether Macy's parade, football, nightly local news, NCIS re run, had a fucking Bloomberg ad on it

It drove me nuts. The part that kills me is how YouTube USUALLY fixes their ads based on your search history through Google and shit.

WHAT PART OF ME LOOKING AT AMMUNITION PRICES AND AR-15 parts makes you think I want to see a goddamn Bloomberg ad?

Yeah, Nate Silver and Jack V Savage have been very skeptical of Bloomberg's ability to become a major player in this race. They didn't grasp the scale of the operation Bloomberg is running here. In Jack's case, he underestimates the power of money in determining election outcomes.
