Yeah, no one was, until...
Is that the VA gov.? I don't know if you were mislead about what was actually being discussed there, because what he said is only controversial if its taken way out of context.
And the same logic applies to babies to when they're three years old.
So, might as well start killing babies.
The logic doesn't apply, because, assuming it is healthy, a baby has consciousness and can feel pain. It likely has aspirations, even if it can't communicate them intelligently. It may even have parents that would miss it if it died.
Its more about us, the living, and the society we want to live in, where human life is valued.
Valuing human life is a noble intention, but the truth is that we do not live in the society that we would like to hand to our children. Worse, bringing more unwanted children into that world only makes the problems worse.
Liberals find the Conservative "culture of life" to be contradictory. The expressed desire to save the unborn "because all life is sacred" is undermined by how poorly they treat people once they are born and actually need things from them.
Lets put Trump's 'There has to be some kind of punishment, for the women' aside and lets agree there's a middle-ground between 'Any Time Any Reason Abortions' and 'Throwing Women In Jail For Suspected Murder of Newborn Babies.'
And that article you posted of El Salvador, from a Women's Rights source, and the clip I watched on YouTube weren't exactly unbiased.
Here's the clip, by the way.
They didn't exactly go into detail of the evidence at trial, and its about as one-sided as 'Making a Murderer.'
If you think there is room for a compromise, then let's talk about what's reasonable. Maybe we can start by agreeing that abortion shouldn't be called "murder" if you believe it should be allowed in some cases.
You're a very good debater, but fear-mongering that women in America are going to be thrown in prison for decades for miscarriages is beneath your standard of debate.
You haven't given a single reason why someone should have faith that ending abortion access is going to lead to a better society in the long run.
Look dude, I'm about to logoff for the weekend. Just consider this: The next time you are stuck in traffic or in the line at the Post Office, I want you to think to yourself, "gee, I wish there were
more people here".
