War Room Lounge v76: I put it to you, Greg: isn't this an indictment of our entire American society?

I have a good friend who worked in black-market collections. Huge dude. He said the job generally just entailed him hanging around visible but far away while people politely asked for money that they were owed. Only ever had one serious altercation, which led to him doing some time and cleaning his act up.

Jack hanging around with criminals.

It's not usually as gritty as movies or stories of the past make it out to be lol. If you're in an altercation you dun goofed. Allegedly.
Same for regular bouncers. I've talked to a bunch and they all offer a pretty uneventful recollection of their jobs.

"So this one time this dude got really drunk, I told him to get out and he did". Well call the movie studios, your biopic is just around the corner.

I was the best man at his wedding. But his criminality was all in his past by the time we met. Maybe even more shocking is that he's a Republican.

Yeah, no one was, until...

Is that the VA gov.? I don't know if you were mislead about what was actually being discussed there, because what he said is only controversial if its taken way out of context.

And the same logic applies to babies to when they're three years old.

So, might as well start killing babies.

The logic doesn't apply, because, assuming it is healthy, a baby has consciousness and can feel pain. It likely has aspirations, even if it can't communicate them intelligently. It may even have parents that would miss it if it died.

Its more about us, the living, and the society we want to live in, where human life is valued.

Valuing human life is a noble intention, but the truth is that we do not live in the society that we would like to hand to our children. Worse, bringing more unwanted children into that world only makes the problems worse.
Liberals find the Conservative "culture of life" to be contradictory. The expressed desire to save the unborn "because all life is sacred" is undermined by how poorly they treat people once they are born and actually need things from them.

Lets put Trump's 'There has to be some kind of punishment, for the women' aside and lets agree there's a middle-ground between 'Any Time Any Reason Abortions' and 'Throwing Women In Jail For Suspected Murder of Newborn Babies.'
And that article you posted of El Salvador, from a Women's Rights source, and the clip I watched on YouTube weren't exactly unbiased.

Here's the clip, by the way.

They didn't exactly go into detail of the evidence at trial, and its about as one-sided as 'Making a Murderer.'

If you think there is room for a compromise, then let's talk about what's reasonable. Maybe we can start by agreeing that abortion shouldn't be called "murder" if you believe it should be allowed in some cases.

You're a very good debater, but fear-mongering that women in America are going to be thrown in prison for decades for miscarriages is beneath your standard of debate.

You haven't given a single reason why someone should have faith that ending abortion access is going to lead to a better society in the long run.

Look dude, I'm about to logoff for the weekend. Just consider this: The next time you are stuck in traffic or in the line at the Post Office, I want you to think to yourself, "gee, I wish there were more people here".

Cheap cruises are crowded af. I have no clue how people are able to enjoy that.

I'd take a Caribbean resort over 99% of cruise ships any day of the week. They're pretty much the same thing except you're not trapped.
Cruises have perks like shows and casinos, variety of ports, etc. But yeah, you have to like being out at sea (which I do). And crowded, cheap cruises do indeed suck. Unless maybe it's a short themed cruise, like a rock cruise or something, and you're into the bands.

In my more reckless days, I was a fan of the unmarked brick through a window. Car, house, mama's house in that order. By the time you got to that third brick, they were generally calling to stop the escalation. Most people know they owe you, especially if their last interaction with you is "Okay, that's cool".

The worst ones are family though. My BIL borrowed a couple of stacks from me and decided that he was too good to pay his debts. Laced up the Timbs and kicked his door right out of the frame. Someone kicks your shit in and walks in with a bat, it's generally time to go to the bank. Wouldn't have done that to someone I didn't know, but he's a whole bitch, so I was feeling ballsy.

Contracts man, never loan money without one. Now the state does my dirt for me.

Thanks for the shout out padna.

Some bouncers are bitches though. I was 18 and at that club there were two lines to pay before leaving. One had 50 or so people, for people that only had credit cards, the other one was empty, for people with cash. I had cash but I mistakenly stood in the longer line until realizing my mistake and as I tried to move to the other one a bouncer grabbed me in a bear hug and said "don't jump the line". Dude wtf, I said I had cash and he said oh sorry and let me go.

You know I’m not supposed to be in here.

Reported.
Really? Why not? Fuck that shit, dont let those nazis dictate where you can and cannot post. They tried that with me and now look at this place!

Nothing worse than waiting at a gas station because of a moron picking lotto numbers with a “system” of what he picks. The only important number is the amount of dollars and time you just pissed away standing there.

Lol. It’s booming!

I wonder what JVS’s definition is of ‘cleaning your act up’.

I'd like to tell that guy that the random algorithm for quick picks has a better chance of nailing the numbers than people trying to figure out the "system".

I'd like to tell him that, but i'm guilty of trying to write a predictive algorithm for the lottery based on historical numbers.
