Its been explained so many times that at this point I expect someone asking this to have seen the argument at some point. But in case you haven't, the reason there is a double standard is because historically characters have been far more likely to have been whitewashed than have been changed into a POC. And in the case of The Little Mermaid her being white doesn't really matter to the story. She's not a European princess, she's a cryptid.Okay I decided to not talk about this one on facebook. But aren't people being hypocrites about the whole Little Mermaid white people are mad issue?
If a major black charecter were turned white there would be literal protests. How do people who would be fine with that not hypocrites if they think people are mad about the Little Mermaid character are horrible people.
No way man, he earned it fair and square. I don't like that we always expect these guys to be sportsman. Let them be sportsman if that's who they are and praise them for it but if a guy wants to gloat a bit after a hard earned win and some trash talk we should let them do that too. Its a more genuine expression of their personality than some perfunctory sportsmanship and it makes the genuine moments of sportsmanship all the more meaningful. Asking someone like Masvidal who, in that moment was in his heart of hearts wanting to rub it in, to be a sportsman is like asking GSP to be a trash talker.I don't like the seeming mocking by Masvidal of his unconscious opponent, even if the guys was very disrespectful in the lead up
Hoping I'm just misunderstanding some of his celebration
You are right but as a Just Bleed fan I like to see guys get sparked like that and to watch them regain consciousness, stumbling all over the place. Also, good on UFC not showing the still down Askren
