Lol it is odd to think. A system designed to prevent a populist resulted in the election of a man who is neither backed by the people, institutions or academics.

A true political Frankenstein. All of the xenophobia of a demagogue without any of the populist economic proposals

And it's not just Trump, the GOP is adopting all of it. Now the Governor of Arizona is trying to kick Nike out of the state because they won't make shoes with the original American flag on it lol

Good lord. I saw/see confederate flags fairly often in Illinois (I know) and Missouri, but usually either they're an actual flag on a house or a bumper sticker/decal on a vehicle. I've never seen a guy actually fly a flag from his bumper.
 
Fucking fuck.

Transferred truck insurance from WA to Utah back on May 23. Yesterday, get letter in the mail claiming that State Farm is fucking cancelling my policy because "you have not provided the necessary information concerning John Doe (dad) and his spouse (my mom) to enable us to complete an underwriting review)"

WTF, I'm still basically connected to my parents insurance policy cause it gives THEM a bit of a discount as well as me cause none of us have ever been in an accident or made a claim. GGGGRRRRRR.

Call the State Farm office I went to and naturally... "the person that can find this information easily is out of the office this week" so now I am waiting on whoever is there to make a call to the main Underwriting Office to find out WTF is going on. Goddamnit.

Haven't seen one in MO. I've seen a fair few in UT and OR though (but I lived in those places longer + going back in time = more confederate flags).

lol I thought it was going to be a stupid tough guy bumper sticker or something. Seeing the giant flag at the end made my jaw drop

EDIT: and of course he backed into the driveway so it was the first thing the homeowners saw when they opened the door

Reminds me of Steve King having a confederate flag on his desk even though Iowa was a Union state. It gets hard to defend that the Confederate flag isn't just a shibboleth for shitheads.
