Where we slipped up was letting the attack dog stick around into peace time. Ideally Truman would have slipped a mickey to that cat and we could have dumped him in the Volga.

Anyone who is remotely familiar with the issue can attest to the accuracy of the media's reporting on the investigation. The Mueller report demonstrates that.

I believe that men and women are biologically distinct. I believe this extends to psychology. I believe that in the absence of good men, most women feel lost. I believe that males have largely abandoned their traditional roles (standing up to evil, providing financially for their families, teaching skills and values to the next generation), which is destroying women.

You think men of yesteryear stood up to more evil than the current generation?

Have....you seen the evils tolerated by mankind? In the past 50 years, we've seen the first two Western demonstrations against wars in other countries on moral-internationalist bases (Iraq, Vietnam).

The generation before that, the majority of American opposed granting refuge to European Jews even after it was discovered they were being systematically murdered, supported the US overthrowing democracies and launching terrorist attacks in Latin America and setting up extremist Wahhabi camps throughout the Middle East, and rioted in the streets over the concept of people being equal by the color of their skin.

The generation before that saw tens of thousands of men die to preserve the right to own other humans and legally classify them as subhuman. For the country as a whole, the vast majority of men did not support abolition and equal rights for black people.

Generations before that exterminated thousands of indigenous people, repeatedly stole their land and broke legal agreements with them, and then wrote alibis for the country in the form of stories of patriots beating back bloodthirsty savages.

And this can go on and on and on. The customs of eras past - in which capital torture, war crimes, philia, and genocide were normal - regularly shock the sensibilities of contemporary society.

Men (and women) speak more truth to power now than at any time in history, and it's not close.

Ohhhh my god, Dore is terrible. I wasn't a fan before, but I caught about 50 seconds of this interview where he was just slobbing on Paul for opposing certain conservative reactions while compounding their sources. Cool, he personally opposes the War on Drugs and invasion of Iraq. Doesn't really matter when the things he does support - accumulation of capital, exertion of influence of capital over government, economic inequality - lead to the conditions precedent to those sort of things.

By the way, a comment section on a Vox article today about the differences between Sanders and Warren remind me just how lopsided (I felt) the post-2016 war of words has been between Sanders surrogates and opponents within the left coalition. There was some outlets like The Atlantic where the pretentiousness, character assassination, and unearned arrogance of the commenters (not the authors) led me to unfollow the outlet for a bit. Here, despite what i can see is a burgeoning narrative about Sanders supporters and the left wing of the party bullying everyone and overstepping norms of cordiality, the Warren-supporters are very clearly much more negative/divisive, while Sanders' supporters are comparatively positive.

But I don't know how to link a Facebook comment section, so you'll just have to look it up if you're so inclined.

To be clear, I'm not attributing it to Warren supporters as in persons for whom Warren is the best candidate, but rather party casuals generally who would side with Warren over Sanders because they have left over hostility from 2016 and get off on the arguments to moderation and pretensions of superiority.

Anyone with decent reading comprehension and a quality news diet will. It's simply a fact that publications like the NYT and WaPo reported on tons of the stuff that ended up in the Mueller report. They did an incredible job.

But if you read Breitbart and watch Fox you probably didn't notice.

The out-of-wedlock birth rate is a verifiable proxy. Otherwise, my observations in traveling around country and the world and meeting 1000s of people.

I'd think you'd know well enough not to trust "my observations" for that kind of thing. The out-of-wedlock rate is a very poor proxy for the things you listed, but maybe if you explained better, I could see how it would fit.
