Unlike the Vikings, there's no presumption here that we would be fighting "fair" in a head-to-head confrontation.

This is probably closer to what you'd find in the Finnish forests, in a military situation:

A raggedy bunch.
So like when the Brits whined the Colonists were hiding behind trees and shooting at them in the Revolution.

Well, I mean....

Sixta turned out to be a :eek::eek::eek: but the Marines I know and other military guys have told me command got anal about that shit with them in Iraq for some reason.

@HunterSdVa29 or @usmctanker242 would know more probably though.

When it comes to appearance the Marines are definitely a cut above the other branches of the service. One thing to note about facial hair, and especially beard hair, is that it makes it difficult to get a good seal on a gas mask. So having a freshly shaved face gives you a better chance at surviving during a chemical attack. While in Iraq, even when we were living in 2 man tents in the middle of fucking nowhere, we still shaved every single day. It's just the way it is...even with freezing cold water you're going to shave your face at about 6am and that's just how it is.

Mustaches are weird in the Marine Corps as there are regulations about how long they can be, how far outside the mouth area, etc.. Most guys don't even want to bother with the hassle so they just keep it shaved all the time. We had quite a few Sergeants in my unit who had mustaches and therefore were the "Mustache Nazis." It's just another one of those things about personal appearance and it's something that is just insanely inspected in the Corps. Just because you're forward deployed it doesn't mean you can break military regs and do as you desire.

I get the gas mask thing. When I worked for the city in maintenance I had to be clean shaven and every dude I know that has left the Marine Corps instantly grew a beard or long mustache cause "we finally can".

Plus the SEALs and other groups always make fun of Marines even Raiders not being allowed to grow beards when "in country"

Pretty much. Russians used to call the Finns "cuckoos" because they thought that the Finns were hiding in trees and shooting at them.

It's hilariouse when Greenwald crushes the left about "collusion" and they have no answer. He hates trump so they can't call him a trumptard so they got nothing left.
I still haven't heard one yet.
He warned them for two years.

<Lmaoo><45><Lmaoo>

He destroys the guy with the fat face.

Again, @Anung Un Rama, your spidey senses should be tingling when you find yourself in the company of morans.

The disclosure of the Mueller report's findings specifically debunked Greenwald, yet, because an indictment was not imminent (as it never was), he took it as a vindication of his position that there was no collusion and that the investigation was a hoax.

Greenwald's conduct there is a representation of the world kind of internet-argument-type dishonesty: misrepresenting a claim (there was interference and collusion) to the point that, when the misrepresented conclusion (direct evidence will implicate Trump and lead to his indictment) is not met, an adverse claim is treated as proven (there was no interference and no collusion).

I was with Greenwald when he was saying "this is overblown as an international matter in light of the US's past and ongoing crimes." But when he went full "the investigation is a hoax," he became a hack.

Lol I actually like Weld. He’s always been “progressive” on the right issues as far as I knew. He was ahead of the curve in protecting abortion rights, lgb rights, marijuana decriminalization, and energy/environment when he was Governor of MA. Of course I don’t agree with him on a lot of things like social services but he’s not gonna get the Nazi vote I don’t think.

Yeah, that wasn't a comment on Weld specifically as on how right-wingers try to play gullible lefties and how stupid True Progressives are.

I'm shocked at Bernies response...

Completely shocked

That's disappointing. Probably Sirota's influence.

I am not trying to compare Bernie to Trump, but goddamn does that sound Trumpy.

My spirit animal is a Jekyll/Hyde combination of Geoffrey Zakarian and Manuel Ferrara

Holy crap, seeing "Manuel Ferrara" made me think of and look up Miguel Ferrar. And apparently that dude died in 2017.
