Odd Note:
"
When I am an old woman I shall wear purple
With a red hat which doesn't go, and doesn't suit me.
And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves
And satin sandals, and say we've no money for butter.
I shall sit down on the pavement when I'm tired
And gobble up samples in shops and press alarm bells
And run my stick along the public railings
And make up for the sobriety of my youth.
I shall go out in my slippers in the rain
And pick flowers in other people's gardens
And learn to spit.
"
― Jenny Joseph

"Time to go down to the basement for some more hauntingly delicious...better hold the handrail this time!

So uh, I think I'm now working for the equivalent of Stark Industries pre Ironman 1 with this UTC and Raytheon merger together.

I'm looking at their products list, and if it goes boom, they make it. Tomahawk missles. Patriot missile defense system. Javelins. Air to air missiles. All sorts of proprietary guidance systems. Now that'll be combined with electrical aircraft systems, jet engines, mechanical aerostructures like landing gear and flaps.

That's a big dog feasting off that military industrial complex

SO this thread is going to end up pitting the Millennials vs Gen Xers and Boomers

Bring it

#shitcentristssay

I literally made fun of Madmick for buying into Barr's hilarious attempts to appeal to centrists with his "I care about the law and justice, and everyone else just cares about politics, so I get attacked from both sides" bullshit because it was so unbelievably transparent. Turns out it was convincing enough for the fucking New York Times.

WTF, NYT?

He's an obvious and major hack and a consistent "Trumpland hero."

I kind of buy into the take that Barr really believes that the President should be above the law and can do whatever he wants for whatever reason in regards to the DOJ. He probably thinks Nixon got railroaded.

But at the same time he would never speak up if a Democrat was in power so his actions are purely political

What even is centrism anyways? Is it like being bisexual?

No, it's more like a person who ponders Hamlet's "to be or not to be" and then decides that maiming himself would be a healthy compromise.

I read part of that when I was waiting for my coffee at Starbucks this morning.

He wasn't just silent during the Clinton impeachment, though; he was actively calling for Clinton's removal. So it's not a consistent view.

Yeah. "Muh principles" are only enacted when it's time to protect the conservatives.

Ice-cold take: Family Feud has an extremely high skill ceiling and rewards a special kind of high intelligence.

I don't really know what "hot take" or "ice-cold take" mean when people use them because it seems so inconsistent. But if you're suggesting that's a true statement, can you elaborate?
