How long until Trump claims that video of him saying something stupid is a "deep fake" and people refuse to admit he's lying when multiple videos confirm it's real? I feel like that's one of the things that has to play out between now and the election.

Welp Trump is now pushing the fake videos himself

My dudes, I am not going to lie: I just bought a lot of beer and a lot of weed.

As long as we're all good with folks using anecdotal experiences and observations . . . .

In my experience, I have observed that you abuse the use of ellipses and remind me of an old coworker whose emails always seemed either angry or sexually suggestive . . .

Haven't had weed since the beginning of Ramadan, been pretty refreshing actually. At the same time, can't wait to get stoned as all hell when its all over. Thinking about extending my break until Cowboy vs Ferguson.

This Memorial Day weekend, I plan on remembering all who died in our mostly stupid, mostly pointless wars by getting high as a goddamn monkey.

Fair enough . . . but I don't look to the government for leadership on issues like this . . . there are many, many more people in the church who are being the hands and feet of Christ and serving others. Those are the folks who need encouragement and are out there helping those who need it.

Thank you . . . you are correct, I don't hate babies.
Ok, that's fine, and I don't disagree that churches do some fantastic work in this area. The problem is that group tends to support policy makers who think it's better to sacrifice the well being of a few kids in the pursuit of teaching their parents a lesson (but, really, to keep money in the hands of the wealthy), than to force society via taxes to help kids. Folks, I might add, that live in a place where poor people are inevitable and absolutely necessary components of the economy.

I'm all for encouraging local community support because we can't count on government for anything, but I'm also all for calling out the pieces of shit in office who work for us and suck at their job.

I see many folks sacrificing their own resources to see that the well being of many of the kids you referenced is improved regardless of what their parents did.

Calling those folks out is fine . . . they're elected officials and need to be called out. It's just annoying when they're combined with Christians doing great things simply because of what side of the political aisle they might fall on.

Funny how none of y'all are invoking the "judge not lest ye be judged" crap now . . . I'm not familiar with this preacher or anything else he's said or done, but this statement while challenging to many is definitely one from a person very full of themselves IMO. He makes some good points, but to automatically assume he knows the motivations for folks who "fight for the unborn" or that this applies to everyone who does is pretty telling.

I agree that there are those times when we as Christians take the easy way out in many cases, but to state that every Christian who fits into this type of advocacy group does is wrong.

It's discouraging to see everyone eat it up like, well . . . gospel. But I guess that's how popular preachers become popular. They say something edgy to expand their audience.

I can only hope that the guy does right by his new followers . . .

Supposedly this is one of his books. I might read it to see about getting more acquainted with his message.
The quote is only about a specific kind of Christian, not all Christians.

Technology is making politics a brave new world

They featured the doctored video, but not the original, do we have the original to compare.
I wouldn't suggest she was drunk, but she does not have an easy time articulating ideas lately.

Why would they doctor it if the original was bad already?

I don't know, but it seems easy enough to provide both videos so the reader/ viewer can judge for himself and not be duped by future shenanigans. The truth is, she hasn't been speaking well, or clearly, for about a year or so, I'm wondering how significant the worked version really is. Again, I don't ever get the impression that she's drunk or unfit, just that it seems to be a struggle for her lately.

Lol ok

I noticed that Hillary seems to be dying. I know that she was just sick and that whole thing was a lie, but apart from that she seems very dying-y, and has for a long time.

The Washington Post story shows the videos side by side for comparison btw
