Wow, that's a sharp and brilliant take coming from a minister.

The moral and ethical distribution of religious persons is pretty extreme. About ten percent of them have more humanity than the other 90.

Funny how none of y'all are invoking the "judge not lest ye be judged" crap now . . . I'm not familiar with this preacher or anything else he's said or done, but this statement while challenging to many is definitely one from a person very full of themselves IMO. He makes some good points, but to automatically assume he knows the motivations for folks who "fight for the unborn" or that this applies to everyone who does is pretty telling.

I agree that there are those times when we as Christians take the easy way out in many cases, but to state that every Christian who fits into this type of advocacy group does is wrong.

It's discouraging to see everyone eat it up like, well . . . gospel. But I guess that's how popular preachers become popular. They say something edgy to expand their audience.

I can only hope that the guy does right by his new followers . . .

Supposedly this is one of his books. I might read it to see about getting more acquainted with his message.

What's this based on?

@MiniCraque What's your opinion on this video, as far as the presentation of the Rouseff, Temer, Lula, and Bolsonaro saga?

Speaking of shitstorms, is that obnoxious, never-ending story about poop in San Fran based on anything at all? I seem to remember it starting as a story about dog poop near the Golden Gate Bridge, then it morphed into a story about human poop on sidewalks. It seems like a really strange story that is possibly the most awkward, roundabout anti-gay dog-whistle I've ever seen, but thought I'd ask.

Hognoxious started a thread doing exactly that but he isn't quite stupid enough to be unaware that gheys are among the most financially well off demographic in the country, hence not poor nor shitting in the streets. As an aside, this subforum's obsession with shit, and "shit dick" and "shit pushed in" is fucking weirder than homosexuality itself and so far flung from reality. Crazy levels of self projection into the situation.

I don't know how gays are connected to any of this, but the economy is booming:

But there is a housing shortage and a related homeless problem.

Not too often anymore, he ran off with his banned lover to that other forum. Aside from being a troll, Rip was actually cordial and left all kinds of "big, beautiful" messages on my profile. Hog is just a legit cunt.

Why do folks continually make these blanket statements about folks they disagree with? Do you honestly think this is even remotely true for all "modern conservatives"?

It's like you can't even acknowledge the good anyone does and immediately go for the most negative thing you can think of . . .
Based on policy?

Yes, absolutely.

My own observations, of course. Obviously, there isn't a way to quantify such a thing.
I actually conducted some research of over 15,000 ministers, and you're 100% correct.

The numbers were specifically that 10% of the group had 90% of the morals and ethics.

Great call.

Just in the sense that to much of America, gay = San Fran = all of the bad things, and poop things for sure.

The same way Chicago (and at times STL, or at one time Atlanta) takes an extra hit for being associated with black people.

It's a humorous commentary on the fact that conservatives in office will make laws to protect fetuses and simultaneously support budget cuts to any and all programs that might help a malnourished or underprivileged baby. For reference see: every policy supported by modern conservatives.

I don't mean normal people like you, though, and I say that seriously. You seem reasonable and I'm almost positive you don't hate babies.

Also, I was being humorous.

Fair enough . . . but I don't look to the government for leadership on issues like this . . . there are many, many more people in the church who are being the hands and feet of Christ and serving others. Those are the folks who need encouragement and are out there helping those who need it.

Thank you . . . you are correct, I don't hate babies.

How long until Trump claims that video of him saying something stupid is a "deep fake" and people refuse to admit he's lying when multiple videos confirm it's real? I feel like that's one of the things that has to play out between now and the election.

As long as we're all good with folks using anecdotal experiences and observations . . . .

I don't know if this account is officially affiliated with Trump but they have a blue checkmark.

Push fake videos of Nancy and than claim the videos of himself are fake.

Unfortunately for him his gaffs are usually on live TV. Fortunately for him his base are sycophants that buy everything he says.
