Aren't you from northern europe? I think girls aren't that bad there. Now, England, that's another matter.I would imagine that these people experience dysfunction mainly because the "real experience" for them, is being with a woman who is probably well-below their beauty ideals, both in behaviour and physical appearance.
And that's not to say that their standards are necessarily even that high (which is what the "incels" are usually blamed for), it's just that your average "awkward dude" is not even going to have sex with the "average decent-looking woman" (which, in fairness, doesn't really exist). They'd probably be someone who's fairly over-weight and not too pleasant in behaviour (which is about the average nowadays).
Most women in the West nowadays are over-weight (as are the men). It's just not that pleasant, I suppose, for over-weight people to have sex, especially if they are very awkward in behaviour. So they'd rather just harbour idealized fantasies, of what "could've been".
You being from, I believe, Brazil(?) probably have a very different culture when it comes to taking care of physical appearance and being socially aware, where being decent-looking and either masculine/feminine (instead of androgynous) in behaviour is to a degree still enforced at a societal level.

The Varys defection - him suddenly not being sure if Dany is a psychopath - is so fucking stupid. He was sure about her back in Mereen when she crucified hundreds and fed those innocent masters to her dragon. And what has she done since then to lose his trust? Oh, she's just made good faith concessions to a northern lord, then risked her life to save him, and then risked her life and sacrificed half her forces to fight for the good of the realm rather than take the throne.
If anything, his confidence in her should be at an all-time high.
He's not on mine just because he doesn't post that often, but he's definitely worthless.
Also, I think JVS's liberal usage of the ignore list is becoming more common. For my first two years here, the only people on my ignore were GSM and, for a little while, Heretic. I've expanded mine to 8 or so posters and I have observed noticeable improvements in threads because of it.
How about ripping a fat dab with a babby chimp?Chimps are scary, but I wouldn't mind cracking open some cold ones and cuddling with some tangs and gorillas.
This makes far more sense in light of @Fawlty's ridiculous claims of late. I don't think it's all that funny, but to me, it's a weird kind of thing for people to take seriously. I mean, as if there aren't a bunch of you all working together under a proper hierarchy to keep this place running; you're going to act on the say so of some pleb. Shows a lack of respect, IMO.That isn’t accurate and don’t belive anyone who claims to.
I used to lump him in with a lot of the goon squad but in fairness to him he really has made an effort to make good faith overtures to me on some topics that we have serious disagreements on so I give him props for that and he's cool in my book.I don't know about trac, he seems a good poster unless I'm missing him up with someone else. But yes to the rest of it could be done haha.
I mean, yes, they did set up some of Dany going into madness and that wasn't completely surprising that it did happen. I'm just very upset there wasn't something to push her over the edge.
I would actually like a function that allows you to switch on/off pre-defined user lists. Like maybe from one end that looks like the JVS one to another end that bans all liberal posters with some variations in-between.
I disagree with this in that there was a lot to set it off, but I think you kind of hit on the problem with the season. It appears that they have planned endings for all the characters but nowhere near enough time to really get to them. So they're just frantically trying to get them all in with a bunch of shortcuts, and as a result, they don't really have the impact that you feel like they're supposed to. The way the show is set up, it's probably inevitable that the ending would disappoint unless they planned it a few seasons out.

Also @Trotsky
This tweet chain I think explains it well. Apparently a sliding scale of pantser vs plotter writers has been used for a while by big story writers.
I think people are being somewhat quick to write off this season's shittiness as inevitable. Yes, it was inevitable that it would be rushed and some plot threads wouldn't be tied up, but you can see from HockeyBJJ's suggestions and the many "why didn't they" type videos and, for instance, the one that I posted where the guy rewrote episode 3, to see that more satisfying and logical events could have happened. But the writing is.....good lord, it's so incompetent. It's frankly insulting to HBO that this much time and money was spent on such poorly written rubbish.
Strongly disagree that the writers are incompetent. Maybe "inevitable" was the wrong term, as they didn't have to end it when they did, and they could have left some strings untied in order to give proper time to develop the most important ones. But they were boxed into a corner a long time ago, and they were forced to either have the series run much longer than they wanted it to or ridiculously accelerate the pace (relative to the standard established earlier) in order to get to where they wanted to go.
This is where the books are better. From Dany's chapters as far back as when she was in Astapor you can see bits and pieces of "this chick is fucking crazy" in her thought processes.@HockeyBjj Also

It's pretty obvious that the producers are burnt out and it's felt that way since just before the Beyond the Wall shit. But the writing is.....good lord, it's so incompetent. It's frankly insulting to HBO that this much time and money was spent on such poorly written rubbish.
